EIB 518/523: Operations Management


Course outline
Operations management is the planning and decision-making activities associated with the management of an organization's operations,
which is the work the organization does. The organization can be either a service provider or a commodity producer, or a combination
of both. The main objectives of the course are as follows:
 To assist the candidate in familiarizing himself/herself with the range of operational management planning and decision-making
activities.
 Help the student obtain an overview of the fundamental trade-offs associated with operational management decisions.
 Introduce a variety of tools and techniques to help operations managers implement their decisions and reach their goals.

Mandatory Policy to Remember


There will not be a retake exam, presentation or essay submission for a student in any situation. So, be prepared to
attend all evaluations according to schedule and do not ask me for a catch-up test or delayed submission.
