1. (Sabre- Tooth Curriculum) What is curriculum all about during those times?

The curriculum during those times was established out from eagerness to
adapt to change. It was at first inclined in fish-grabbing, horse-clubbing, and tiger-
scaring long before reading, writing, and arithmetic. It was anchored on the primitive
ways of acclimatizing with the surroundings. However, the later part of the story tells that
this curriculum was altered into a more systematic way of education due to the urge of
ameliorating the life and practices of the tribe. This alteration created a vast difference,
both a boon and a bane. But at the end of the day, it was then concluded that it is always
good to adapt to change without leaving the accustomed ways from the past. Just make
alterations or improvements. Change those you think are no longer responsive to your
environment but for those that are still useful, make improvements without changing its
totality.

2. Is it necessary for teachers to learn about school curriculum? Why?


In essence, it is and will always be necessary for teachers to learn about
school curriculum. Topmost reason is that, the curriculum serves as a great map
which will creatively and painstakingly guide the teachers in outlining where she
intends to go and how to get there. It helps the teacher to administer activities,
learning outcomes and goals that she wishes to be accumulated by the students. It
also offers teachers ample ideas and strategies for assessing student’s progress.
Furthermore, it is of great substance for teachers to learn the school curriculum as it
serves as their reference to develop concepts from a basic level to a more complex
level. It is the teacher that carries out the curriculum activities and actions, so the
teacher and the curriculum moves side by side. This implies that one cannot talk
through intricately on curriculum without the mention of the teacher who is the sole
implementer of the curriculum inside the portal of the classroom. As a curriculum
implementer, it means that the teacher is the one who institutes the curriculum
documents to prominence and to substantiality.
