Changing Sentence: SSC and HSC

 Sentence অর্থ অনু সারে ৫ প্রকাে Neg: He was not only obedient but also gentle.
 Sentence গঠন অনু সারে ৩ প্রকাে
Rule 5: Everyone/ everybody/every person/ (every +
 Voice Change ২ প্রকাে
common noun)/ all → স্থারন → There is no + attached
 Degree ৩ প্রকাে

1. Sentence অর্থ অনু সারে ৫ প্রকাে 


Aff: Every mother loves her child.
Affirmative to Negative: Neg: There is no mother but loves her child.

Rule 1: Only/ alone/ merely → স্থারন→ None but (ব্যক্তি)/ Rule 6: As soon as → স্থারন → No sooner had ----- Than.
nothing but (ব্স্তু)/ not more than or not less than (সংখা)
 Aff: As soon as the thief saw the police, he ran away.
Aff: Only Allah can help us. Neg: No sooner had the thief seen the police than he ran
Neg: None but Allah can help us. away.

Aff: He has only a ball. Rule 7: The Superlative degree → স্থারন → No other +
Neg: He has nothing but a ball. attached word + verb + so/as + positive form + as +
subject.
Aff: He has only ten taka.
Neg: He has not more than ten taka. Aff: Dhaka is the biggest city in Bangladesh.
Neg: No other city is as big as Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Rule 2: Must/Have to /Has to → স্থারন → Cannot but + মূ ল
verb/ Cannot help + (v+ing). Rule 8: প্রক্তিশব্দ Not যু ি করে ক্তব্পেীি শব্দ হরব্

Aff: We must obey our parents. Aff: I shall remember you.


Neg: we cannot but obey our parents/ we cannot help Neg: I shall not forget you.

Rule 9: Always → স্থারন → Never প্রক্তিশব্দ ক্তব্পেীি শব্দ হরব্।
Rule 3: Both----and → স্থারন → not only ---- but also.

Aff: Raven always attends the class.


Aff: Both Dolon and Dola were excited. Neg: Raven never misses the class.
Neg: Not only dolon but also Dola were excited
Rule 10: Too ---- to → স্থারন → so ---that + Present হরল can
Rule 4: and (যক্তি দুটি শব্দ যযাগ করে) →স্থারন → Not only ----- but
not/ Past হরল could not.

Aff: He is too weak to walk.


Aff: He was obedient and gentle.
Neg: He is so weak that he cannot walk.
 Past Form = Didn't?
Rule 11: As – as → স্থারন → Not less – than.  Verb + s/ es =Doesn't?
 Auxiliary Verb = Auxiliary Verb + n't?
Aff: Simi was as wise as Rimi.  Every/ Some/ All/ Body = Who?
Neg: Simi was not less wise than Rimi.
Rule 1: যক্তি sentence টি affirmative হয় িাহরল negative
Rule 12: Universal truth are change by making them interrogative কেরি হরব্। আে যক্তি negative হয় affirmative

Aff: The Sun sets in the west.


Neg: Doesn’t the Sun set in the west. Ass: He was very gentle.
Int: wasn’t he very gentle?
Rule 13: Sometimes স্থারন → Not + always.
Aff: He is not a good person.
Int: Is he a good person?
Aff: Raven sometimes visits me.
Neg: Raven doesn’t always visit me.
Rule 2: যক্তি auxiliary verb না র্ারক →

Rule 14: Many → স্থারন → Not a few.


 Present form হরল Do/ Don’t

Aff: I have many friends.  Past form হরল Did/ Didn’t.


Neg: I donot have few friends.  Verb+s,es হরল Does/ Doesn’t

Rule 15: A few → স্থারন → not many. Ass: He plays Football.


Int: Doesn't he play football?
Aff: Bangladesh has a few scholars.
Neg: Bangladesh doesn’t have many scholars. Ass: They did not play football yesterday.
Int: Did they play football yesterday?
Rule 16: Much → স্থারন → A little.
Rule3: Never → স্থারন → Ever.
Aff: He belongs much money.
Neg: He doesn’t belong a little money. Ass: I never drink tea.
Int: Do I ever drink tea?
Rule 17: A little → স্থারন → not much.
Rule 4: Everybody/everyone/ All → স্থারন → Who + Don’t/
Aff: Dolon has a little riches. Doesn’t/ Didn’t
Neg: Dolon doesn’t have much riches.
Ex: Everybody wishes to be happy.
Assertive to Interrogative: Int : Who doesn’t wish to be happy?

 Present Form = Don't? Rule 5: Every + noun → স্থারন → Is there any + noun+ Who
don’t/doesn’t/ didn’t.
Rule2: How → স্থারন → Very (before adjective)/ Great
Ex: Ass: Every man wishes to be happy. (before noun)
Int: Is there any man who doesn’t wish to be happy?
Ex: How fortunate you are!
Rule 6: No body/ no one / None → স্থারন → Who. Ass: You are very fortunate.

Ex: Nobody could count my love for you. Ex: What a fool you are!
Int: Who could ever count my love for you? Ass: You are a great fool.

Rule 7: There is no → স্থারন → Is there any/ Who (person)/ Rule 3: Hurrah/ Bravo → স্থারন → I/we rejoice that/ It is a

Rule 2: Please/kindly → স্থারন→ you are requested to +
verb. Rule 2:
Simple = In spite of possessive + v + ing
Ex: Please, help me. Compound = But
Ass: You are requested to help me. Complex = Though/Although

Rule 3: Do not → স্থারন → You should not. Example:


Simple: In spite of his trying hard and soul he could not
Ex: Do not run in the sun. succeed in life.
Ass: you should not run in the sun. Compound: He tried hard and soul but he could not
succeed in life.
Rule 4: Never → স্থারন → you should never. Complex: Though he tried hard and soul, he could not
succeed in life.

Ex: Never tell a lie.


Rule 3:
Ass: You should never tell a lie.
Simple = By + ing
Compound = Imperative sentence + and
Rule 5: Let us → স্থারন → We should.
Complex = If Clause positive

Ex: Let us go out for a walk.


Example:
Ass: We should go out for a walk. Simple: By working hard, you will success in life.
Compound: Work hard and you will success in life.
Rule 6: Let + noun/pronoun → স্থারন → Subject + might.
Complex: If you work hard, you will success in life.

Ex: Let him play football. Rule 4:


Ass: He might play football. Simple =Without + ing

Simple = Principal clause + adjective + Noun

Rule 5:
Simple: I know the poor man.

Compound: He came to me and I felt tired. and + sub এে পরেে অংশ।
Complex: When he came to me, I felt tired. Simple: Finishing the work, we went to the playground.
Compound: We finished the work and went to the Simple: By wasting your time, you can spoil your life.

কমা উরঠ and + sub ব্ারি এে পরেে অংশ। Simple: He is too dull to understand it.
Simple: Being father, he can not neglect his son. Compound: He is very dull and can not understand it.
Compound: He is father and can not neglect his son.
Complex to Compound:

Simple: Having written the letter, I posted it. Complex: When i went there, I found him.
Compound: I had written the letter and it. Compound: I went there and found him.

Rule 4: Rule 2:
In spite of/Despite যু ি simple sentence যক but দ্বাো Though/ although যু ি Complex sentence যক Compound
compound কেরি হয়। sentence পক্তেব্িথ ন কেরি হরল though/ although িু রল ক্তিরি হয় এব্ং

Simple: In spite of his dishonesty, he was rewarded. এে পরে কমা িু রল ক্তিরয় যসখারন but ব্সারি হয়।
Compound: He was dishonest but rewarded. Complex: Although it rained heavily, he went out
without an umbrella.

Structure: Since/when/as এে প্রর্ম subject িু রল ক্তিরয় main

Simple: Going there, I found him absent. Complex: People work hard so that they may shine in
life.
Rule 2: Simple: People work hard to shine in life.

Because of, Due to, Owing to, On account of ইিযাক্তি ক্তিরয়
‘So …. that’ যু ি complex sentence যক simple sentence এ
কেরি হয়।

Structure: Because of/ Due to/ Owing to/ On account of Structure: Sub + verb + so এে স্থরল too + adjective/ adverb
+ verb + ing অর্ব্া fog/ rough weather/ cold + Extension.
+ that যর্রক not পযথন্ত উরঠ যায় + to + Extension.

Complex: Since there was fog, he could not go out.


Complex: They are so nice that they can not be used just
Simple: Due to fog, he could not go out.

Simple: They are too nice to be used just at present.
Rule 3:

Extension. relative pronoun এব্ং িৎপেব্িী verb উরঠ যায়। এব্ং relative
pronoun এে পরেে adjective-টি subject এে পূ রব্থ ব্রস ।
Complex: If he does not stay at office, I shall not meet
him.
Complex: The man who is drowning catches at a straw.
Simple: Without his staying at office, I shall not meet
Simple: A drowning man catches at a straw.

Simple: Finishing the work, he returned home. Structure: Besides + not only যু ি ব্যরকে মূ ল verb এে সারর্ ing
+ not only উরঠ যারব্ + but also এে পূ ব্থ পযথন্ত + (,) + মূ ল subject +
Rule 2: but also অংরশ verb না র্াকরল প্রর্ম অংরশে verb + but এে পরেে
And যু ি compound sentence এে উিয় অংরশে subject যক্তি একই
অংশ।
হয় এব্ং প্রর্ম অংরশে sentence টি যক্তি কােন ক্তনরিথ শ করে, যসরেরে ক্তনরেে
ক্তনয়রম simple কেরি হরব্। Compound: Our teachers not only teach us but also
Structure: Because of/ Due to/ Owing to/ on account of guide us.
+ 1st sentence এে subject এে possessive form + main verb Simple: Besides teaching us, our teacher guide us.
+ ing/ being/having + but এে পূ ব্থ পযথন্ত + কমা + sub + verb +
extension. Rule 6:

Compound: I was ill and I could not attend the meeting. ইিযাক্তি time word দ্বাো simple sentence কো হয়।
Simple: Because of my being ill, I could not attend the
meeting. Compound: It was raining and Siam came to me.
Simple: At the time of raining Siam came to me.
Rule 3:
But যু ি compound sentence এ যক্তি but এে পরে subject ও Rule 7:
verb না র্ারক িরব্, simple sentence পক্তেব্িথ ন কেরি হরল ক্তনরেে ক্তনয়মঃ And দ্বাো যু ি উরেশযমু লক compound sentence যক Infinitive দ্বাো
Structure: In spite of / Despite + Subject এে possessive simple sentence কো হয়।
form + main verb + ing + being/having + but এে পূ ব্থ পযথন্ত +
কমা + subject + verb + extension. Compound: He reads attentively and she can do good
result.
Compound: He is poor but honest. Simple: He reads attentively to do good result.
Simple: In spite of his being, he is poor.

Rule 4:
‘Or’ যু ি compound sentence যক simple sentence এ পক্তেব্িথ ন
কোে ক্তনয়মঃ
Structure: Without + 1st main verb + ing + verb এে পরেে
অংশ + কমা + ব্াক্তক অংশ।
