This man was a talented, revolutionary, and brilliant photographer and he
was born December 4,1903 in New York, Ny. He had 5 siblings, his mother and father were Mark Rothko and Franz Kline. He was really important in the art world because he turned the medium of photography on its head, taking pictures of found objects that were simultaneously these-to-life and abstract photos. He had so many amazing accomplishments. Aaron was the 1st photographer to combine “straight” with abstraction. He won the Guggenheim fellowship for creative arts. He even earned a bachelor’s degree in social science in literature. He was a member of the New York photo league. He also had his own foundation. He was known for saying “photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have gotten everything.” It was amazing how he had an exhibition of photographs called the Gitterman Gallery. He even did a ter series in provide, vermont, and route 88 near westport, Rhode Island, in the 1880s. Aaron’s life is quite interesting because he was a public English teacher for 25 years before he was a photographer. He even became a photographer when he received a camera as a wedding present which is insane because he wouldn’t be a photographer if he didn’t get that camera. This person was creative in his own way. He made photos so unique and basically made his own way of photography.
3 photos he had taken and why I choose them:
1. For this photo I have applied on this document below because it was one of those photos that you are interested in seeing. This photo was very unique and textured. 2. I chose this photo because it reminds me of animal crackers in a weird way. It is very abstract and to me it is somewhat childlike. I am a child at heart so that was the reason for choosing this photo. 3. I chose this because it truly caught my attention and it made me want to paint or draw it myself. It looks amazing.
