I still remembered the first time I rode a bike.

I followed my aunt to her storage and picked a

silver-colored bicycle. It looks so old and heavy that I couldn’t believe that I can rode it on the

road. The saddle is too solid to sit for more than five minutes. At that moment, I flinched on the

saddle and confused why so many people ride this stuff. I turned to my aunt, noticing her smiling

at me and encouraging me to go forward. Since I didn’t want her to be disappointed, I stepped

the pedal and pushed the bike forward.

My aunt told me the riding routine and then I got started. At first, I was so excited that it is such

easy to make it forward, so my anxiety started to fade away. There were no car or people on the

road, which is another reason motivating me a lot. I could ride the bike wherever I want without

worry. However, when I tried to steer the direction, the bike was going to drop me down, so I

had to ride faster in order to keep my balance. The wind passed me faster and faster, and my

aunt’s voice quickly disappear from the distance. I nervously looked straight forward and was

afraid of glancing two sides. I was afraid that I would hit to other’s cars if I looked around. I also

scared that I couldn’t get help from others if I hit on other’s cars. My speed was too fast to slow

down. When I was wondering what I should do, a building blocked my way. I instantly decided

to throw the handlebars to my right side, jumped out of the bike on the left side, and let it punch

on the ground. Fortunately, I didn’t get hurt from the jumping and the old boy, my aunt’s bike,

was still working.

I had tried multiple times to ride on the road, but unfortunately, none of them was successful. My

aunt was confused why I couldn’t conquer a bicycle. I do know that was because of my innate
poor balance sense. I would feel dizzy when I couldn’t control the balance, such us on a car, on a

bus, and on a boat. I am also the poorest student to finish a dance piece with circling because I

will feel dizzy after three arounds. Therefore, I gave up learning to ride a bike, since I realize my

weaknesses. A lot of my friends and classmates spent so much time on their weaknesses,

perfecting their weaknesses and eventually making those turn to strengths. However, if they

spent the same time on their strengths, they might be more successful in an industry early than

they thought. Maximizing the strengths and minimizing the weaknesses is not only a secret to

success, but also to a sense of happiness.
