Rationale

Objectives Program READING generally aims to enhance

students skills in reading

Specifically, it aims to
a. Strengthen students reading comprehension
strategies and skills in facilitating and
understanding written texts
b. Provide reading enhancement activities as a
resource in developing reading skills among
students
c. Foster positive outlook towards reading
as a foundation of learning

 Respondents of the program may be assessed
Assessment, Monitoring and through online reading sessions to identify
Evaluation students’ progress in reading and giving online
assessment such as Google forms to identify the
students’ comprehension of what they have read.
English teacher may ask the students to
always send a photo to monitor the students and
for documentation purposes.
The students may be also asked to have
meaningful activities such as having photo essay
contest about reading. This is to enhance
students’ involvement in the program.
