Research

(Salkind, 2021) Through processing research, new understanding and learning is

discovered (p.25) Research is an organized method of searching or finding a conclusion to a
particular problem or concern. Through collecting data, creating new research question,
analysis, and results, evidence and rightful information can be gathered to form a new
conclusion to the researcher’s topic or concern. It is a way to train ourselves to hunt for the
truth.
The importance of research nowadays cannot be overlooked. Things like technology that
we use are a product of research. Mentioning one of the product that has been discovered by a
conducted research, why do we conduct such a thing? (Davis, 2021) Scientific research and
studies are being conducted to provide results or finding that will benefit social, professional, and
a scientific evolution. Evaluating the gathered data and information is an essential way to
conclude them (p.1). Many problems and issues exist within our society. By conducting the
research and following its systematic method, we can have the way to find out the possible
solution to a particular problem. It also develops a good quality of life because problems
encountered and unknown things may be solved through research. Conducting research can also
help the researcher improve his/her analytical and critical thinking to solve the issue he/she chose
to study.
Since research is the systematic method of searching answers to questions, what could be
the reason why it is systematic? Being systematic is something done according to a specific
system, plan, or method. Now, what makes research systematic is, it has its process specified into
clear steps that bring to conclusions. Its characteristic of being systematic discards guessing in
coming to conclusions. Researchers select, manage, and search for the best evidence according to
a planned method they have to use. Systematic research serves as the scientific technique for
them when researching to solve problem-related questions by analyzing useful information and
evidence from the respondents or participants, articles, and other reliable resources.
There is much room for creativity in the research process. Utilizing creativity makes
research more interesting for anybody who is involved. (Aken, 2016) Creativity is determined as
creating something unique or unusual. It allows one to shake up the normal way of thinking and
come up with new solutions to a problem (p.1). Research is not mere gathering information, it
needs detailed articulation of an objective. Researchers do also have to analyze their findings or
gathered of data and must try to think of another creative method for their study. (Deacon, 2000)
Researchers should learn and experience the perceptions, feelings, and life events of their
participants (p.95). The researcher should focus his attention in doing his research
wholeheartedly. When he use his creativity, he can produce a wonderful experience and output
adressing his research challenges.
So therefore, I conclude, research contains processes that should be followed by the
researchers to perform and conduct a good systematic research and be organized with their
research studies. Research is not just an easy thing to do, you need to think deeper and analyze
every steps you need to take for your successful research study.
