Ever since you entered school, you fine math subjects easy. You
have a knack for mathematics and you often wondered why your
classmates find math so difficult. In your senior year in high
school, you have three subjects that involves math: Physics,
Trigonometry and Advanced Algebra. So far, your classmates are
coping with trigonometry and Algebra; it is Physics that is their
problem.
Before finals, your Physics teacher tells you that you are exempted
from taking the final exam because of your excellent performance
in her subject. Your classmates, however, are not so blesses. Half
of the class may fail Physics and tutoring them, helps a little.
A week before the finals, your teacher leaves her marker and
eraser in the faculty room and asks you to get it for her. On the
table are the test papers for the final exams.
There is nobody else in the room, so you take a picture of the test
questions without really knowing why.
On your way home, you are bothered as to what to do with the
picture. The questions are difficult and knowing your classmate’s
ability, they are sure to fail. But if you leak the questions, they’re
sure, to pass and eventually graduate. What will you do?
Questions:
1. What would a man of virtue do?
Answer: If a man is righteous and full of high moral standards or in
short, a virtuous man, giving this situation to him/her. Obviously,
he or she will not leak the final exams questionnaire because a
virtuous person is someone that focuses on living a morally correct
life and able to handle any situation that life throws up at them in
an excellent manner. For me, a virtuous man knows that cheating
on exams will not teach students to learn anything. In fact, it is just
a waste of time for you and for your teacher because school is not
about grades or number but school is about learning.
