News exploded that most of the Filipinos suffered stress and anxiety because of the calamity
happened, flooded in different areas like Cagayan, Isabela, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal and some
parts of Metro Manila. You as a student how will you help to those victims of floods.
Answer: As a student, the things that I could offer for those people who have been affected by
the typhoon are donating goods such as old clothes, canned goods, water and etc.
The best way also is to spread awareness and seek help from social medias so that we can
have anything to donate and to help them in every possible way that we can. Students can
also spread positive thoughts by posting inspirational quotes, memes videos on Facebook so
that it can boost the morale and motivate people to fight back strong. I believe in doing such
little things we can make a big difference on the society that we are living in.
Additionally, students can learn different disasters in their community, they can able to
distinguish disaster risk surrounding them and make people aware. Students can learn also
on what to do and what not to do during disasters and students can spread this information
within their houses, society, community which will improve the response of the community.
Students can get trained in search and rescue, firefighting, first aid and volunteer in disaster
and emergency situations.
