What does the hymn wanted to tell us?

The hymn tells us that even though we are just ordinary folks we can harness our
knowledge and skills through the great grace of our university – Cebu
Technological University. The hymn adheres that the University are preparing us
for the real fight of our lives outside the academic institution, which is ensuring that
we are a good product of the University and be of help to our country. The simple
hymn song implicates that even though the future is uncertain and unpredictable,
we are still equipped and able to do whatever career we choose as long as we
instill the core values and the lessons the university has thought us. Excerpt from
the song/hymn tells us that “though humble our goals, your earnest way ensures,
our means to be truly free”, us students have the freedom and liberty to dream big
and set goals without limitations. The University is free tuition which lets us enjoy
and focus on more things like our education and our future without the pressure of
money. The hymn wanted us to tell that we must enhance our chosen skill and
career for future innovations that cannot only benefit our school but also the world.
The hymn tells us that the university is fueled from the humble beginnings of the
students wanting to learn more, wanting to innovate and contribute greatness to
which our university helps us in doing so. It is maybe a tough road outside the
premises of the university but through the hymn the University taught us to have a
stiff upper lip attitude to which we are not afraid of the obstacles being layed down
for us, for we the future products of CTU are harnessed with extraordinary skills
and attitudes.

What does our university wanted to be as implied in the song?

Our University wanted to be a premier, multidisciplinary technological

University.The University wanted to be a University where even the poorest among
the poor can have access to a good and quality education. It is a fact that after our
university days the real world awaits us and thus the commencement of the real
world problems we are about to face, thus the University wanted to be a cultivator
and a developer of knowledge where it develops students to its highest potential
carving success not just by their academic achievements but also to what they can
achieve as an individual. As the song suggests that each student has their own
humble story and humble beginnings but after they set foot in CTU- Cebu
Technology University those footsteps become big leaps as, the university wanted
to be a guardian of academic and career success. As the song implies the
University wanted to be a hospice of learning where we can enhance and learn
world class skills without the limitations of money. The University wanted to be a
bearer of greatness providing students with extraordinary modes of teaching in
various fields. According to the song “Through our relevant force to harness
Earth’s resource, and your patient technology. We will march at the front in the war
against want, And may kind Heaven let this be, And may kind Heaven let this be! ”,
It simply wants to be repositories and generators of knowledge and not just that the
university wants us to know that we can held high our heads because we are
products of a great University. The University wanted to be responsible for the
obligation to equip graduates so that they can obtain viable employment. The
obligation to offer rational and timely criticism in areas of public policy and social
and economic life, education, arts, techonology, engineering and most importantly
techno-vocational courses.
