factor for a high risk pregnancy.

1. Caffeine. 4. Drugs

A. Create an assessment tool to asses a pregnant woman for high risk pregnancy.
Using the assessment tool that you have made, interview a relative or neighbor who
experienced a high risk pregnancy and determine the factors that placed her
pregnancy in the high-risk category.
B. Myrna, who has hypertension, and is in 34 weeks of gestation, has been
encouraged to undergo a Nonstress test.
* I explain first the procedures to Myrna and then I positioned her to fetal heart
monitor with rhythm strip. Even though Myrna has a hypertension she can undergo
a no stress test that use to assess the fetal heart rate that we use it as a basis in
order to know the well being of the baby. Once the fetus moved it must have a
acceleration in the fetal heart rate, As a nurse we can monitor the FHR in the rhythm
strip in order to know if it is normal that correspond to reactive result where it has 2
or more acceleration of 15 bpm. It this situation even Myrna is high risk in pregnancy
because of her hypertension but the result of her nonstress test is reactive, she
can able to continue her pregnancy as long us that she is in stable or in a good
condition.
