Reflection

After I watch the documentary film of Pink Flamingo entitled “Haligit Ilaw”
on November 29 2018 I feel that living with one parent can bring out a lot of
emotion whether it is bad or good. Single parents are the hard working
parents because they need to earn money to pay for food, clothing and a
place to live. They don’t have enough time to his/her children because he
need to work hard for their daily lives. I’m so proud of Mr. Rogelio Dappanan
the main character on that film because he need to wake up early for the
household chores and he also five children who is still studying. Now it made
me realize that finishing my study is very important. When you didn’t finish
your study their is a a chance that the situation of Mang Ilyo is the same with
your future. Being father is not easy because their are many obligation that
you need to cope up, you need to sacrifice all for the sake for your children on
their daily needs like at home and also in within the school. We better love our
parents. When ever trials come we should know that their is always a solution
put in our minds that if we are still alive their are always hope.

Reaction

My reaction regarding to the film that I’ve been watched entitled “Haligit
Ilaw” that is relatable to us as a Filipino this is the biggest problem that we are
facing for so that who ever been watch in that film they are easily get the
attention of the viewers. A lot of information and lessons we’ve been get in
that film so that we can apply it in our daily lives. The quality of the video is
good but sometimes the audio is not clear because the sound of the
sorrounding is more louder than the interviewer so they rather put a subtitle
for us to easily understand what they been said. I am grateful that I’ve watch
the film of Pink Flamingo it is hard to build a topic for this documentary. I
salute for the film maker they gave their effort and time, they sacrifice it all for
a better presentation of their viewers so know I understand that life is can
throw us for loops and we cannot plan everything sometimes these situations
are out of control. I love the concept and some of the places they went in the
movie because it shows us the lifestyle of others. Overall I enjoy the movie
they became real. I hope that others will watch it because the student of
CVCITC is so talented for doing a documentary.Good job.

Summary

After I watch the documentary film of the Pink Flamingo entitled Haligit
Ilaw. Mr. Rogelio Dappanan also known as Tatay Ilyo has a five children who
is still studying.The younger child of Tatay Ilyo is in Grade 8. It is hard for him
to earn money for their foods, in the morning he work as street sweeper to
and also he is a driver in the evening. He get up early to do a house hold
chores because no one will help him even if he is tired. Tatay Ilyo live as a
singer parents when her partner leave him so that he need to work hard. He
need to be persistence to give him what is the needs of him/her child. He gain
300 pesos for day but it is enough for them to buy food. Tatay Ilyo cannot
afford to buy a clothes for his/her child. When typhoon come in Santiago
Mang Ilyo is the one who is still at work. Tatay Ilyo love him/her child he can
do all, he can sacrifice him life for sake of it. It shows in the film that how hard
to be a single parent is. No matter how hard Tatay Ilyo’s life he never give up
he is dedicated he always think positively.
