Head couch Boone adopted various leadership styles

How coach Boon changed his during the couching. These styles include achievement-
approach over the time? (See
figure 12.9 to answer) oriented, supportive and participative behaviors. In
Achievement-oriented leadership a leader sets high
goals for the subordinates and expects them to perform
efficiently and shows confidence in their ability to achieve
the goal. When Mr. Boone was appointed as head couch
of the Titan’s football team, he was quite autocratic. He
replies to the question of couch Mr. Yoast “I am a winner;
I am here to win” this shows his confidence. Using
Achievement-oriented behavior he shares responsibilities
like he asks Mr. Yoast to train the defensive players and
he himself trains offensive players. He also motivates the
players to remove the obstacle of racism by telling them
about how racism destroyed their ancestors. He also
alludes to the hardships that his family suffered due to
racism. In Participative leadership all the members of the
organization are encouraged to participate in the decision
making. For example, the captain Garry ask Mr. Boone
that he does not want one the player to play. Mr. Boone
shows democratic behavior and gives him authority to
make his own decision. He also authorizes the assistant
couches to make replacement in the team. Supportive
leaders try to build trust, inspire, and help the colleagues
and employees to overcome the challenges they
encounter. Using this leadership style Mr. Boone replace
a player and support and motivate him, saying that he
has to command the team. He also manages to cover the
absence of the captain after his accident. He also
authorizes the assistant couches to make replacement in
the team.
