The primary role of Industrial Arts education is to expose students to a variety of industrial and

engineering technologies that improve their understanding of the industrial and engineered world.

Industrial Arts has an important role to play as part of general education in our modern society. The
development of technology resulted to many machines in the industry.

An example of Industrial Arts is a welding class. A course of study aimed at developing the manual and
technical skills required to work with tools and machinery. The practical arts, such as engineering,
metalworking or carpentry. The teaching of the knowledge and skills needed to work with tools and
machinery.
