User's Guide

1. Guide to install 'a Driver'

Win 32bite Install a driver which


is same as your
Win 64bite
windows version

Win 32bit -> (R2400_32Bit)


Win 64bit -> (R2400_64Bit)
Click 'Install(확인)' button and then click 'Ok(확인)‘
button.

Click 'Accept' button.

Click 'Install(설치)' button.

Next, when a window(same as left picture) pops up on


the screen, turn on the printer.
(Do not click 'Manual' )
2. Printer configuration for Illustration / Photoshop / Etc. (Except UV-RIP User)

Windows Start menu - Control Panel - Devices and Printer - Epson stylus photo R2400 [Click Mouse right
button over icon] - You will see the window as below.

● If you use the RIP Program (ex. 329 UV Printer User),


it does not need to setting on Printer Configuration.
3. Maintenance.

l On the right side of Printer, It has a printing


plate temperature controller.

l It helps to dry printing matters quick.

(*Caution, Do not use any materials which


can be transformed by heat.)

l Clean the Carriage film on the front with soft


cloth or gauze and Methyl Alcohol at least
once a month. (a transparent film upon a
yellow belt)

l A green button on the left is for Adsorption


for Film, Leather, a thin and wide material,
Etc.

l A red button on the right is Power button.

l When the yellow light on 'Start' on control


panel is on steadily and the red light on
'Stand by' is flickering, The printer is ready to
work. You can operate the printer.

l If you move the printer, please make sure to


close caps on ink bottles tightly. and when
you use the printer, please open the caps
slightly to circulate the air.
(*Caution, if you entirely open the caps, It
causes to dry Ink quick and the quality low.)
3. Remote Control Panel
1. Start : Indicate the printer status
2. Functions : To set functions (Press 'Functions' to enter
menu and Press 'STAND BY' to change menus. To change
settings, Press 'Up' & 'Down'. Press 'FUNCTIONS' again to
save and quit.)
3. ■ Pause(일시정지) : To cancel printings (to cancel
printings, press ■(일시정지) during printing. A printing plate will
come out.)
4. 헤드청소 (Head cleaning) : To clean a printer head, press
the button more than 5 seconds. / or it will indicate a green
light if there is no ink. in this case, press the button to move
the head out and then press again to charge inks.
5. STAND BY(인쇄대기버튼) : To move a printing plate
backwards to be ready for printings.
6. FORWARD(전진) : To move a printing plate forward.
7. UP(상) : To move a printing plate up.
8. DOWN(하) : To move a printing plate down.

FUNCTIONS
1. FRONT SPEED SET SPEED : (--%)
To set a printing plate moving forward speed. To change speed, press Button 7(UP) & Button 8(DOWN).
2. REAR SPEED SET SPEED : (--% )
To set a printing plate moving backwards speed. To change speed, press Button 7(UP) & Button 8(DOWN).
3. SET Temperature : (35%)
To set Halogen temperature.(0 means 35%). To change temperature, press Button 7(UP) & Button 8(DOWN).
4. PaperSize Speed : (20%)
To set a printing plate moving forward speed after finishing printing.
5. Temperature MODE : (ON/OFF)
To turn Halogen lamp ON/OFF. To turn ON/OFF, press Button 7(UP) & Button 8(DOWN).
6. PaperSize Delay : (0.0Sec)
To set delay time for a printing plate to move forward after finishing printing.
7. Automatic rise : (ON)
To rise a printing plate until Height sensor checks a printing plate or materials for printing when you move a
printing plate backwards by pressing 'STAND BY(인쇄대기)' button. To change ON/OFF, press Button 7(UP) &
Button 8(DOWN). If you repeatedly print out a same height, Turn OFF this function to press Button 8(DOWN).
It can save you time. (*Caution, Height sensor can not perceive Transparent materials.)
8. Automatic drop : (ON)
To drop a printing plate when Height sensor perceives a printing plate or materials for printing by pressing
'STAND BY(인쇄대기) button to move a printing plate backwards. To change ON/OFF, press Button 7(UP) &
Button 8(DOWN). (*Caution, Height sensor can not perceive Transparent materials.)
9. Automatic Cleaning : (24h)
Printer cleans itself as per setting time. It cleans after 24 hours since the last operating, not every 24hours.
A. Automatic Repeat Sec : (00Sec)
To move a printing plate backwards and start to print out automatically as per setting time.
(It can be used, only if print data is ready.)
B. Automatic INK RESET : (OFF)
To reset inks automatically.
C. UV Level : ( - -%)
To control the UV level.

4. To print out
Put a printing material on a printing plate.
[ - If a printing material is transparent, Affix opaque tape beside the material to
be perceived the height
- If a printing material is high, push back the printing plate slightly to be perceived by height
sensor ]
à Press 'STAND BY' button
à Send the data that you want to print out

5. Cautions
* If you need to replace a Printer head by damage or nozzle blocked, you will be
changed. Please keep a print head safe and pay attention when you use.
* Check a nozzle at least once or more a day.
* Clean a print head at least once or more every other day.
* When do you use the UV printer, you need to control the UV Level.
If you use high level for UV lamp or easy to reflaction material, it will be clock the
head as faster.
* Please check the trash bottle many time. Because the overflow from the bottle, the
machine will be gotten electric problem.
* The ink expire day is only 5month, please don’t use it more date and change new
ink.

How to using the”Adjustment program2400”

- If you are not use the windows XP, please set the compatibility mode at first.

1. Why you need to run this program.


- When you use the printer, the printer is cleaned by itself, but the cleaning times is limited and
accumulated. If the cleaning times exceed the fixed times, the printer has some problem. In this case,
you can initialize the cleaning times using this program.

2. When you have to use this program.


- When you see message “The consumable of the printer is over and request A/S”on the computer and
3rd and 4th led blink alternatively, you should initialize the cleaning counter through “Adjustment
program”

3. How to initialize the cleaning counter.


-Insert DataCD coming with the machine, and then double click the“Adjprog”icon
in the adjustment2400 folder.

-When the dialog box is appeared like the below, click the “Particular adjustment mode”

-When the setting dialog box is appeared, If your computer is connected with just one
printer, click “OK” button

- click“Auto selection”and choose “Epson stylus photo2400”and then click “OK”


-When the windows is appeared like below, follow the below instruction.
Choose the waste ink pad counter and click “OK”

Click Read button

After reading the cleaning counter, click “initialization” button.

After finish the initialization, Click “OK”

Click “read”button again, it is make the counter “0”


After end of the initialization as the above, you must reboot the machine, and the initialize the machine,
and then the printer will be normal working.

- While run the adjustment program, if the error message is appeared, please check the following items.
Communication error occurred
n First, Check the power of the printer
n Second. the usb connection between computer and printer.(Whether the sign is <*PRINT MODE*
WAIT!> or another words)
n Third, Check the message on the LCD of the remote
n Fourth, When you select the printer model at the above “auto selection”, check whether you select the
print model name correctly or not.
“After adjust the problem, please reboot the computer”
