 DAILY REPORT

Overview:
Visited the power plant site and followed the operation and maintenance
activities performed during the day.

Operation Activities:
The complex was running on baseload with a combination of 2+1.
 GT-1 startup demand is received by NPCC but due to the repairing work of
52G GCB, GT-1 is under forced shutdown now.
 GT-2 is operating at baseload.
 GT-3 is operating at baseload.
 Weekly auxiliaries changeover of all the power plant was done by the
operation department. During the changeover no abnormality happened.

Maintenance Activities:
During the day, visited the plant site area and closely observed the maintenance
activities performed by different departments. The maintenance activities
attended are listed below:

CCCW Heat Exchanger:

Closed circulating cooling water Heat exchanger plates of GT-1 were dipped in the
chemical earlier. Today mechanical maintenance department performed the
thorough cleaning of plates and installed the plates back to the heat exchanger.
After the installation of plates, test run was performed, little seepage of water
was observed from plates at first but it stopped later.

HRSG-2:
Seepage of water and steam observed from the de-superheating control valve of
HP main steam line at HRSG-2.

Sponge Ball System:

For cleaning of condenser water box tubes and condenser brass wall, the sponge
ball system was taken into service by the operation department. The system was
taken in service for 2 hours and balls collecting time in the collector was 4 hours,
more than 90% balls were recovered in the collector.

Portable Lube Oil Purifier:

The portable lube oil purifier for the purification of steam turbine lube oil was
taken into service by the operation department during the day. The system was
taken in service for 8 hours. The filters used in the portable purifier were also
replaced by the mechanical department.
