I. Title/ Topic: Importance of a School Plant, Requirements for
Acquisition, Administration and Management of the Education System, Factors to be Considered in the Construction of School Building
II. Reflection:
School plant is very important aspect in learning. Every single
details of it affects the mood of the learners, like the lighting, the color of the paint used, every posted and painted on the wall, etc. The standard size of a classroom is 7m x 9m. During the discussion, I knew that when someone donates a parcel of lot to be used as a school, the donee has an option to name the school after them. Aside from that, of course, private individual donates to public school to lessen his/her tax due. The cost of the land can be deducted from his/her taxable income. With regards to requesting budget for the construction and procurement of anything, it has to undergo to a long process. The request will pass through different concerned government agencies. There will be having a lot of review, consultation, bidding, visitation of the site and the like before it proceed to construction. Always remember that being an administrator, we can not just buy what we know is right to buy for the school. All purchases should under go a proper procedure, or else, it will be a big problem. Do not forget that

the process should include the bidding procedure. And always remember that all agencies and authorities involve should have a copy of the procurement. The amount of the procurement should always be exact, smaller than or bigger than the actual amount of the purchase is big NO NO! because this might cause a big problem when time comes, there is this law governing this process. It was also discussed that there is a required size for every school building, it depends to its classifications. The size of the classroom should also be in accordance to the prescribed requirement according to the law. Even color of every parts of the building should be align to the mandated rules and regulations. It says in the report that public school buildings are owned by the community. These may be used by the community for other purposes but still, with limitations. Always remember that the prupose should be for general welfare, like for instance, in Kaunlaran High School, the other building there is being used as vaccination facility in Navotas City. I remembered Dr. Nieves reiterated to us that being future administrator, we should remember that we have the full responsibility in the school plant. Be mindful of the laws and regulations, in everything we do, whether how big or small it is.
