Overarching Goal: Students will show their understanding of the planning, testing, making and
evaluation process through continuing their final assessment artwork and the creation and
completion of a bust sculpture and evaluation worksheet.

Lesson 1:
Knowledge:
Students will identify any techniques they need to
use through developing and planning their
independent work.
Understanding:
Students will show their understanding of the
planning, testing and evaluation process through
making tests and notes for their final work in their
visual diary.
Skills:
Students will use a variety of different mediums
including; clay, ink, acrylic paint, water colour and
pencils in expressing their final works concept.
Lesson 2:
Knowledge:
Students will identify sculpting techniques that are
used by artists in observational modelling.

Lesson Content:
Students will spend this lesson continuing their free
choice artworks. They will be using a variety of
different mediums and have planned out their
concepts in their visual diaries, most students will be
at the making stage in this lesson.

Introduction to Class: 5 mins:
Greet students, take role, and explain today’s lesson
plan.
Continuing Students Free Choice Work 45 mins:
Students are continuing their free choice artwork
assessment, they are given the remainder of the
lesson to do so, the teacher is to offer helped and
feedback to students.
Clean Up 10 Mins:
Students are given 10 minutes to clean up any
materials and their working area.
Lesson Content:
In this lesson students will learn about sculpting
from observation, by using clay to create a small
bust of their partner.
