Students will be assessed for their ability to use a 35mm camera to
take photographs. Weekly, students are expected to submit a portfolio
of work showing their aptitude in using the 35mm camera and
techniques as we review them. The students’ ability to use this
camera is the backbone of the remainder of the unit.
At the end of the unit, students will submit a student led project
showcasing techniques and skills they have learned.

Introduction/Anticipatory Set: We will review different characteristics that make a

Our two students with 504 plans will be encouraged
to review what we discuss today next class, prior to
taking the camera out to shoot. This lesson is aimed
to be inclusive to all students, by being a hybrid of
hands on and note taking that will help these students
stay engaged and it factors in extra time to go over
anything they might miss.
The lesson will finish with a review. Students will be
given ‘Plicker’ cards to answer questions given on the
projector. Students can answer A,B,C,or D and we
can see, as a class, how the majority is feeling.
