Analyze the Learners Characteristics:

The lesson is designed for Grade 9 learners,14-15
years old, which comprises of 28 female and 22
male students. These students are from a high
school in an upland barangay. The students’
proficiency levels are from below average to
average. They tend to enjoy outdoor tasks and any
relevant activities that could satisfy their interests.
Most of the students are non-speakers of English.

Learning Styles:
Majority of the students in the class are visual
learners.

State Standards and Objectives At the end of 60-minute period, the learners will

1. Cognitive - identify the verb word.

Select Strategies, Technology, Media and

2. Psychometric - know to use a verb in a
sentence.
3. Affective - improve their visual senses.
Strategies: Student-centered strategy had been
designed for this scenario. It should be
experiential learning approach that integrates
visual aids, group activities, and collaborative
task to enhance English language proficiency.

Technology and Materials:

Laptop: The teacher will use laptop to run the
projector and to show the prepared presentation
for the students.

Visual Aids: The teacher will print a simple
visual aids to caught the attention of its student.
Projector: The teacher will use the projector to
allow the students to view the pictures that
shows actions.
Media: The students will use visual such as
photos, written activity, and groupings for their
assignments and performance tasks.
Preview the materials: With the help of teacher,
they will be instructed on how to use and and
operate power point presentation, and they will
be assisted on how to make their own visual aids.
Prepare the learning environment: Desks are to
be arranged in a manner that allows for small
group work
Provide instruction to the learners: The teacher
will use the power point to show the picture that
shows action The teacher will place them in a
group consist of 5 member each group. The
teacher will give each group an instructions and
each group will have time to brainstorm so that
once their group were called, they know the
strategies. The teacher will show another set of
picture that shows action, each group will guess
and when the guess is right, the leader of the
group will use the verb word in a sentence. The
teacher will determine if the answer and sentence
is right.
Every student should have a group, the teacher
will show a set of picture that shows an action
word which is verb. The group will guess which
word is right to describe the picture. Once the
guess is right, the leader of the group will use the
verb word in a sentence.
The student will be asked to come to the board
and he will determine what verb is in the picture,
when he distinguish what word it is, he will use
the verb word in a sentence.
