    CASE STUDY 100: CLIMATE RESPONSIVE BUILDING DESIGN

    Objective
    To apply the concepts and strategies of tropical design, climate responsive
    design and energy efficiency.

    Instructions

    1. Conduct a case study of your own residence. Provide actual photos to


    justify your analysis. Analyze the existing conditions in terms of the
    following:
    1.1. Site Analysis (showing the orientation: compass/ solar/ wind;
    adjacencies/ etc.)
    1.2. Physical properties (building materials/ form/ shape/ etc.)
    1.3. Human comfort/ occupants’ experience
    1.4. Issues/ gaps/ problems
    1.5. Proposed solutions/ new design, applying the strategies of tropical
    design, climate responsive design and energy efficiency.

    2. Maximum of 5 pages only, “open” presentation technique. Upload in BB


    under Week 11, Assignment, CS100. Due on or before 11:59PM,
    Monday, 25 October 2021.
