Jesus Changes Water Into Wine

1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,
2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

4 “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.“My hour has not yet come.”

MOTHER,..…gusto nilang ibida yung kayang gawin ng kanilang anak,…they are excited to show to the
world what youyu are capable of,…kase proud sila na ipakita na ,…..oh ayan,…anak ko yan,….

*not just with our BIOLOGICAL PARENTS,..even the people who knew us,…your friend,..your
teachers,…your leaders,…PASTORS,..

*that whenever they see opportunities to utilize your potential,..they will gonna tell you to act,to
join,to perform GREAT THINGS….why? BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN.!!

5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

*MARY SAW THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY,…BUT MARY ALSO UNDERSTAND WHAT JESUS MEANS NUNG
SINABE NYANG HINDI PA ITO ANG ORAS KO,.

*..THIS IS NOT YET THE TIME TO SHOW TO THE PUBLIC WHO HE IS,..AND WHAT HE IS CAPABLE
OF….NI HINDI NYA ITO PINAGYABANG…..THOUGH HE IS CAPABLE NAMAN TALGA TO JUST PROVIDE
WINE IN AN INSTANCE,,,PERO HINDI NYA GINAWA,….

INSTEAD,..

*PINAKITA NYA ITO,…HINDI SA MGA TAO SA KASALAN,…KUNDI SA KANYANG NANAY,…AT SA

KANYANG MGA DISCIPLES.

THIS IS HOW HUMBLE JESUS IS,...minsan ang tao kabaligtaran eh,…PAGNAKITA MONG KAYA MONG
GAWIN,,,,,TABI ,…AKO NA,…!!

…but this VERY FIRST MIRACLE na ginawa ni JESUS,….was performed not by his own hands,…BUT
THROUGH THE HANDS OF HIS DISCIPLES,….

*--HE ALLOWED HIS DISCIPLES TO EXPERIENCE THIS MIRACULOUS MOMENT BY LETTING THEM DO
WHAT HE TELLS THEM TO DO.

YOU WANT A MIRACLE??

2. DON’T WAIT FOR THE LORD TO ACT,
START LISTENING and OBEY WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO.

And this is what will gonna happen when we listen and obey the Lord…

6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding
from twenty to thirty gallons.[b]

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

*Again, JESUS CAN JUST FILL IT BY HIS POWER,.BUT JESUS DIDN’T WANTED TO SHOW OFF,.
HE WANTED THOSE JARS TO BE FILLED WITH WATER!!! six stone water jars
THIS IS WHERE THEY WASH THEIR HANDS,…

MEANING,,.ANG TUBIG DITO AY MARUMI.!…

8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”They did so,

*JUST IMAGINE YUNG MGA DISCIPLES NUNG INUTUSAN SILANG IBIGAY SA HOST NG KASALAN YUNG
ISANG BASO NG TUBIG NA GALING SA STONE JAR,,SIGURO NANGANGATOGNGATOG PA YUN SA
TAKOT,,,BAKA KUNG ANONG LASA NUN AT PALAYASIN PA SILA SA KASALAN EH,…
PERO HINDI EH,,,SUMUNOD PARIN SILA,…

YOU WANT A MIRACLE??

3. TRUST AND NEVER DOUBT HIS WORD

*KUNG WALANG TIWALA ANG KANGYANG MGA DISIPULO SA SINABE NYA? HINDI NILA SUSUNDIN
YUNG PINAPAGAWA NI JESUS,..

BUT BEACAUSE THEY TRUST JESUS,..THEY OBEY,..

AT ITO NGA ANG NANGYARE,..

9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.
He did not realize where it had come from, (syempre kung alam nya kung saan yun nang
galeng,.hindi nya iinumin yun..) AT MAAAARING,.WALANG HIMALANG MASASAKSIHAN ANG MGA
DISIPULO..

though the servants who had drawn the water knew.
Then he called the bridegroom aside

10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first

and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink;

but you have saved the best till now.”

*,.JESUS NEEDED THOSE JARS TO BE FILLED,… SO THAT HE MAY BE ABLE TO TURN IT INTO A NEW
WINE,…

*BUT TAKE NOTE OF THIS,…those jars were filled with water,…BUT IT WAS DIRTY,..knowing that
these jars werE the kind of jars na ginagamit for the ceremonial washing??? buti sana kung inutusan
muna ni JESUS NA LINISAN MUNA YUNG JARS????pero hindi eh,…THIS KIND OF JARS WERE
HEAVY…mahihirapan silang liisan pa ito,.

*ang sinabe nya lang ay PUNUIN,…..JESUS DIDN’T EVEN CARE KUNG KARAPAT DAPAT BANG GAMITIN
YUN TO BE FILLED WITH NEW WINE…..

*WHAT HE DID RIGHT HERE IS MORE THAN JUST TURNING WATER INTO WINE.
”HE TURN THIS DIRTY WATER INTO THE FINEST WINE.”

*Mas masarap pa doon sa mga naunang I sinerve na wine,….MAS MASARAP PA SA MGA PINILING
WINE,.

YOU WANT A MIRACLE??

4.LET HIM FILL YOU ONCE AGAIN
*MAY KASBIHAN NGA,…LOVE IS SWEETER THE SECOND TIME……
Yung pag ibig na minsan mo nang naranasan,…pero minsang nawala,…

At nung bumalik,….ayaw mo na ulet pakawalan,,kase napagtanto mo,…

ang hirap ng NAWAWALAY…

MINISTERING:
YOU KNOW WHAT,,..THIS FINEST WINE??? NA GINAWA NI JESUS?
IS THE EXACT REPRESENTION OF HIS LOVE FOR US,..

THAT NO MATTER HOW DIRTY OR DARK YOUR LIFE IS,…HE CAN MIRACULOUSLY TURN IT INTO A LIFE
THAT IS FULL, A LIFE AT ITS BEST, A LIFE THAT IS FULL OF JOY!!! NO DOUBT, NO FEAR, NO LACKING….

IT IS THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS MINISTRY,…..TO RESTORE OUR RELATION SHIP WITH
GOD,…..BY SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST,..OFFERING THE FINEST SACRIFICE FOR THE REDEMPTION OF
OUR DARKEST SINS,SO THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO CONTINUE REJOICING IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR
LORD.

WEDDING IS A CEREMONY THAT CELEBRATES RELATIONSHIP…..

AT HINDI PAPAYAG ANG DIYOS NA MAUUDLOT ANG KASALANG ITO (ANG RELASYON NG TAO AT
DIYOS)

IF SACRIFICING THE FINEST SACRIFICE(JESUS) WILL BRING BACK THE CELEBRATION OF GODS
RELATINSHIP WITH YOU,,,HE WILL BE MORE THAN WILLING TO SACRIFICE HIS ONE AND ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON .

JUST TO BE WITH YOU!!!

11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his
glory; and his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they
stayed for a few days.
Jesus came to bring us life in all its fullness.

How appropriate then that St John chooses the story of the wedding in Cana as the first of the stories
of Jesus’ works.

Jesus takes water, the drink of everyday life and the means of ritual purification, and turns it into
wine,the drink of joyous celebration.

The prophets had spoken of the age of restoration

–when God would come to the aid of God’s people and be experienced in their midst
–in terms of a wedding banquet. The people of God who felt themselves forsaken and
ignored by God would once again know themselves to be the beloved community in intimate
relationship with God. In Jesus, these hopes are being realised.
