/
When published 6 years ago, Standards for Science and STEM education established content

guidelines and benchmarks for learning across the K-12 spectrum. However, the challenges of

the Fourth Industrial Revolution (FIRe) and the competencies required to be productive in it

continue to evolve. The conference will tackle STEM pedagogical reforms to internationalize the

standards of Philippine basic education based on the lessons learned from the results of the

Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018 facilitated by UP Diliman College
of Education Associate Professor, Dr. Sheryl Lyn Monterola. The second day workshops will

feature teachers trained in High-quality STEM Instruction with the participation of ScienceStar

Corporation in the hands-on experiments.

The participants who are highly encouraged to join are:

(a) School Administrators, Academic Heads, Science Coordinators, DepEd Superintendents,

DepEd EPS Science, CEAP Schools and Science Heads, PSHS, and RSHS System on Jan. 23, 2020,

though, they can send science teachers in lieu of their second day attendance;

(b) DepEd EPS Science; Academic Heads for Science; PSHS & RSHS System; CEAP & National

High School Science Coordinators, Lead Science Teachers and Curriculum Developers on Jan.

24, 2020.

The registration fee, which covers lunch and snacks, ID, seminar kits, and certificates, is P 2,500.

For those who do not wish to attend the second day, they can send a substitute. Those who will

participate exclusively for the second day, the rates are ttl,500 for new and non-active

members and Pl,000 for currently active members.
