Rationale

Product development is systematic, communicably oriented research to develop


product and processes satisfying a known or consumer need. It is a method of industrial
research. One of the product developed by our student in graduate school is Banana Loaf
Bread. It undergoes processes and accepted already by consumers. Banana are
abundant in our place. It adds nutrients to the product through innovation.

Food innovation is the development and commoditization of new food products,


processes and services. Banana Loaf Bread is both development and innovation. This is
a research output that will be transferred to teachers handling Home Economics,
Victoria’s Pasalubong and Women’s Organization. Hence, this food product development
demonstration is needed, which could be a source of livelihood and income
augmentation.

Objectives:

1. Discuss the process in making Banana Loaf Bread.


2. Demonstrate the procedures in making Banana Loaf Bread.
3. Encourage participants to engage in entrepreneurial activities.

Description of the Training:

1. The webinar training is one day from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM which is scheduled on
December 13, 2020.
2. The activity will be spearheaded by the faculty of College of Teacher Education
and Master of Science in Teaching Home Economics.
3. The expert was a graduate of Master of Science in Home Economics wherein she
can demonstrate her research output named “Banana Loaf Bread”.
4. The Victoria’s Pasalubong and Women’s Organization will also attend the online
activity.
5. The training will be facilitated by CTE and MSTHE Faculty.
6. Certificate of recognition and honorarium will be given to the Resource Speaker.
7. Certificate and participation will be given to all participants.
