i. Title of the Program or course:

Two-Day Capacity Building on GAD Focused In Protection of Children


and Women in the Workplace

ii. Rationale:

The state recognizes the value and dignity of women and children.
Accordingly, it shall guarantee full respect for human rights and the need to
protect the family and its members, particularly the women and their children,
form violence and threats to their safety and security. This is stipulated in RA
9262 of 2004 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Children.

In our workplace, women and children are given high regard. However,
they are still vulnerable and left unaddressed. If left unaddressed, this will
contribute to injustice and low performance in the workplace. Hence, New Bohol
Elementary School GAD training is focused on the protection of children and
women in the workplace is proposed.

iii. Program or course description

This 2 day capacity building on GAD will be dine through lectures and
discussions on protecting children and women in the workplace through
workshop and demonstration teaching

iv. Professional Development Priorities


The said activity considers the need of teachers for deepening DO 32,
s. 2017 or the Gender-responsive Basic Education Policy.

v. Target participant profile (Career stage, Grade level, Learning Area)


The target participants are the New Bohol Elementary School teaching
and non-teaching staff.

iii. Funding Source


Funds to be used for the capacity-building will be taken from the school MOOE Funds in
the amount of Php 14,471.03 subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.
iv. Monitoring and Evaluation
The conduct of the training will be monitored by the QAME Team of the school
through the Process Observers. Evaluation of the whole program activity will be conducted
by the participants manned by the QAME Team.
v. Gender and Development Mainstreaming
The topics shall involve the integration of a gender perspective into implementation of
program to promote gender equality taking into account both men and women’s interest and
concerns.
