1、General
1.1 Instruction Manual
This manual chapter is compiled according to the installation sequence of agitation tank.
Because many parts are closely related, sometimes other chapters need to be consulted at a
certain stage of installation. The whole manual content should be read and understood before
installation, so as to avoid duplication of work and ensure the success of installation. This
manual includes additional information on installation, commissioning and operation,

maintenance of agitation tank, after-sales service and safe operation.
The storage, lifting, transportation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the
equipment shall be in accordance with the requirements of this manual. Before using the
equipment, in order to ensure the correct, effective and safe use of the equipment,
relevant personnel should read through the contents of this manual. The manual should
be considered as part of the equipment and kept properly until the equipment is
dismantled.
The equipment is limited to trained operators and supervisors. The owner of the
equipment and any person responsible for the use of the equipment must ensure that the
equipment can only be used by competent designated personnel.
Operators should ensure that they truly understand the functions of the device, all
safety and warning information. No one may operate the equipment for any reason
without permission. All operators must be trained to know how to deal with emergencies.
Only competent and familiar personnel can install, operate and maintain the equipment.
These personnel must be aware of the details of the foreseeable and potential hazards.
The operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment can only be performed by
designated, trained and accredited personnel. All foreseeable and potential risks must be
communicated to these personnel in detail. Personnel who are not physically or
intellectually fully qualified shall not operate the equipment or stay near it, otherwise,
they may cause injury or damage to the equipment.
1.2 Safety Regulation
1.2.1 The design and manufacture of the equipment conform to the safety standards and is safe
under correct operation. Operator safety is the basic concept that we give the highest priority in
equipment design. If the method of operation is incorrect, used for non-immediate use, or
operated by people who lack the necessary production experience/training/sense of responsibility,
all equipment is potentially dangerous.
1.2.2 For the sake of the safety of your personnel, please read the instructions carefully and be
familiar with the intended use, limitations and related potential hazards of the equipment.
1.2.3 The harm caused by the following situations can be serious, such as:
The operation method is incorrect or operated by an inexperienced operator.
Failure to comply with the requirements for use;

Incorrect installation;
Power failure;
Serious maintenance failure;
Change data and operation at will;
Use irregular spare parts;
Failure to comply with part or all of the contents of this manual;
Special accidents;
Others.
1.2.4 The owner of the equipment must clearly and clearly designate the person in charge of start-
up, operation and maintenance, and ensure that the operation of the equipment can only be carried
out in a safe working order.
1.2.5 Operators must immediately remedy all equipment damage and modifications that may
impair the safety of the equipment (if within the scope of their duties), or they must report the
above situation to the relevant personnel immediately.
1.2.6 Non qualified personnel and visitors shall be kept behind safety guarding/fencing away from
the equipment.
1.2.7 During handling and installation, the carrying capacity of the lifting gear must be sufficient
to bear the weight of the equipment.
1.2.8 Signs or labels related to product safety shall be checked and cleaned regularly. If they
cannot be identified within a reasonable distance, they shall be replaced.
1.2.9 Before each start, all the safety mechanisms must be checked, and all the protection devices
must be ensured to be in good condition. If there is an idle/fault condition found on any safety
device, the device must be replaced; if the faulty device cannot be replaced immediately, the
equipment must be stopped.
1.2.10 Before starting the equipment, clear all possible dangerous items that may harm the
operators.
1.2.11 Before the equipment is switched off, all the rotating parts have to be fully stopped, and the
equipment is locked in order to avoid an accidental start (lockout or warning sign on the main
switch), guards or cover plate shall not be opened, and maintenance shall not be performed at this
stage.
1.2.12 The components and safety mechanism of the equipment shall not be removed modified or

bypassed.
1.2.13 This equipment shall not be used in dangerous circumstances.
1.2.14 The working area shall be provided with good lighting.
1.2.15 This equipment must be started and operated in a workshop, and this building must be
protected against lightning. This equipment shall not be used in a humid area. If it must be used
under the above circumstances, it is necessary to do a good job in dust, rain and moisture-proof of
electrical components, reducers and other parts.
1.2.16 The operating speed of the equipment shall conform to the design requirement. Do not
force the equipment or its auxiliary facilities to operate under over speed condition.
1.2.17 Loose clothes, long hair, wrist watch and jewellery may cause an accident (for example:
being gripped or clamped by the rotating tools or feed roller , etc)
So Do not wear loose clothes; Wear personal safety equipment (hair nets) if required; Remove
watches and jewellery.
1.2.18 The working site shall be kept clean, because dirt (such as oil and chip on the floor and
barriers) may harm your safety.
1.2.19 For the design and installation of the stair, passageway and platforms, please see the
annex. All the entrances shall be locked; they shall be only opened by the authorized personnel
during maintenance.
1.2.20 Wear protective clothes, gloves, shoes and safety helmet at work. If necessary, dustproof
mask, safety glasses and ear protector will be provided. Breathing masks or other respiratory
safeguards should be used if personnel is exposed to paints, adhesives, or cleaning agents that
pose a respiratory health hazard.
1.2.21 The emergency treatment and first aid telephone number shall be marked near the work
area.
1.2.22 If an emergency arises, operators shall know the positions of the first aid kit and the fire
extinguisher, and shall also know how to use them.
1.2.23 When handling heavy components, use two or more people, so as to prevent personnel
injury.
1.2.24 If the feed system is blocked, stop the equipment and lock it to prevent accidental start,
after all the moving parts are fully stopped, take measures to remedy the fault.
1.2.25 Before switching off the equipment, the control voltage must be cut off, and the equipment
must be locked in order to prevent the accidental switch-on (there is lockout or warning sign on

the main switch).
1.2.26 The permissible noise level shall be as per the current regulation and standard of the
owner's country. In special cases, if the noise exceeds the limit, the owner shall take extra
measures to control it.
1.2.27 The equipment shall not be started under any emergency condition.
1.2.28 Only after the power is off, the equipment is stopped and the safety measures are taken,
can the maintenance, cleaning and disassembly of the equipment be performed.
1.2.29 The equipment shall be provided with good and sufficient maintenance, such as lubrication
and adjustment, but the maintenance shall not be performed whilst the equipment is operating.
1.2.30 Please use the recommended fittings, and check them according to this manual.
1.2.31 The daily record of work shall be kept, so as to record any faults and their solutions.
1.2.32 Floor around the equipment shall be made of non-inflammable material.
1.2.33 Protective guards have been provided to protect personnel from injury due to the operation
of equipment. Guards must be correctly installed in place when the equipment is in operation.
Warning signs should be posted to warn personnel of any potential hazard. The safety device shall
be operated by those qualified personnel. If a fault happens, it shall be reported to the supervisor
immediately.
1.2.34 During installation and demolition operations, the technical methods and independent
protective measures required in this manual can ensure the safety of personnel, property and
environment.
1.2.35 User shall ensure the storing and operating place, room and building for the equipment
meet the safety requirement specified in this manual, and shall provide good ventilation.
1.2.36 After the initial installation, if the user makes modifications to the equipment, the
information in the manual shall be upgraded.
1.2.37 The operators of the equipment shall take part in the training, in order to know how to
operate the machine, and get familiar with the relevant danger and the preventive measures.
1.2.38 The relevant extracts from this manual shall be placed near to the control panel of the
equipment in a durable form, and the date of issue shall be marked.
1.2.39 When starting the equipment ensures there are no maintenance personnel that are still
working on the equipment, The equipment should be switched off and use locking device to lock
the main switch so as to prevent accidental start.

1.2.40 Electrical equipment must be properly earthed, and personnel working with electrical
equipment should follow standard electrical safety precautions.
1.2.41 If welding is applied around the agitation tank, the welded workpiece must be grounded.
The grounding point of the system can not be used, and the current is not allowed to pass through
the h agitation tank system. During welding, incorrect grounding can easily damage the bearings
of motors, etc.
1.2.42 Safe lifting and handling of spare parts
The dimension and weight of parts and components of agitation tank require that the safety of
equipment and personnel should be paid attention to as much as possible. In order to hoist, the
hoisting equipment must have sufficient capacity and check and operate conditions before
hoisting. The weight of the components can be found in the assembly drawings of the manual.
The lifting area must be marked clearly and kept clear during lifting and handling. During
hoisting, alarm bells and whistles alert the personnel on site.
1.3 Hoisting, transportation and storage
1.3.1 Hoisting
1.3.1.1 The hoisting and transportation of products shall be carried out according to the graphic
signs of packing, storage and transportation stipulated in GB191-90.
1.3.1.2 The agitation tank is provided as a complete device or as a subassembly. Generally,
smaller agitation tank are provided as complete units, while larger agitation tank are broken down
into subassemblies because of the transportation and handling restrictions. Please refer to the
agitation tank shipping drawings provided with the installation drawings. These drawings show
the recommended means of securing and fixed the agitation tank. Its also provide size, lifting
weight, and center of gravity for lifting purposes.
For the overall delivery equipment, the lifting lug or sling can be used. Must ensure the balance of
the equipment, not oblique. When the agitation tank is placed on the ground side by side, use
appropriate support components to protect the spindle from deformation.
1.3.1.3 When hoisting, care should be taken not to damage the machined surface of the
equipment, to cause permanent deformation of the equipment, or to damage the external
packaging.
1.3.2 Storage conditions
1.3.2.1 The packed goods should be stored in a ventilated, dry and non-humid room in time.

1.3.2.2 In the case of warehouse area and permission, packing goods should not be stacked as far
as possible. If stacking is needed, the packing weight on the top of each packing box should not
be larger than 1.5-1.8 times the weight on the bottom packing box. The length and width of
packing boxes stacked with each other should be equal to or less than the length and width of
lower packing boxes. It is forbidden to place large items on small ones.
1.3.2.3 It is strictly forbidden to upside down and turn over when packing boxes are placed or
stacked. Pay attention to putting the text marks on the boxes in the easy-to-observe position on the
outside.
1.3.2.4 The packing boxes of electrical instruments, lubricating equipment and spare parts are
strictly forbidden to be upside down and stacked. They must be stored in the drying room.
1.3.2.5 The bare goods should be stored in the open air or indoor according to their precision and
protection. It is strictly forbidden to stack or damage each other any parts or parts that need to be
assembled on the spot.
1.3.2.6 When the equipment needs to be stored in the open air, it is necessary to check whether
the original rain-proof and rust-proof packaging is in good condition. Effective measures of rain-
proof, waterproof, rust-proof and anti-theft should be adopted to facilitate the safety and
protection of the equipment.
1.3.3 Storage life
Before leaving the factory, the agitation tank densifier has been treated with oil products with
12 months'anti-rust validity. If the product is placed beyond the time limit mentioned above, or
has suffered severe rainwater, flood or other corrosion during this period, the packaging box
should be dismantled and inspected in time, and the rust-proof seal should be re-carried out to
prevent the equipment from rusting.
1.3.4 Opening Inspection and Acceptance
Inspection shall be carried out within 15 days after the equipment arrives at the user's site. For
the equipment responsible for installation and commissioning, the user shall notify the
manufacturer of the inspection date 7 days before the inspection. Both parties shall conduct spot
inspection jointly and sign a detailed inspection record. For single machine without installation
instructions, the owner is requested to open the box according to the packing list.
When the goods arrive at the designated station, if the case is found to be damaged at that
time, the user shall take photos and record the case, notify the manufacturer, and request the

transport accident record from the transport department within 10 days. For the project which is
responsible for guiding the installation, if conditions permit, the manufacturer will send a person
to the site to make detailed inspection record together with the user.

suggest that all personnel involved in the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment
should read carefully and read repeatedly. During the reading period, you may feel too thin and
not worth it. But we often find that due to external influence or busy work, we do not pay
attention to details, resulting in the densifier can not. Correct installation, time-consuming and
laborious, and even repetitive work. Good installation will bring great benefits to future use and
maintenance.
According to the specialization of modern technology and commerce, installation is
distinguished from other duties. The duties of installation do not terminate with the completion of
one section of work or begin with the beginning of another. The rule that is often adopted is that
no measures are taken without guarantee. Re-examination of previous work will help ensure the
correctness of each step of the installation work and provide the corresponding basis for the next
step of the installation work.

agitation tank and to support what should be avoided.

3.2 Installation preparation
3.2.1 Installation preparation
Before installation, appropriate installation tools should be planned and provided. The
weight and size of each component should be kept in mind by installation technicians. The
information of component drawings and transport documents is useful. In order to ensure the
normal operation of the agitation tank, besides correct design and qualified manufacturing,
installation is also an important process. The specific installation mode and installation sequence
should be consulted by the qualified installation company, the users of the agitation tank and the
design institute, and carried out in accordance with the relevant documents and specifications,
equipment drawings and technical requirements.
Installation should be based on the site situation, formulate a perfect and meticulous

construction plan. Professionals engaged in the installation of agitation tank equipment should be
composed of fitters, cranes, welders, electricians, installation engineers, etc.
Auxiliary tools for installation of agitation tank equipment: automobile crane, traveling
crane, wire rope, holding pole, welding machine, hammer, line drop, level meter, etc.

3.3.3 Acceptance of Foundation
The agitation tank must be installed on a solid reinforced concrete foundation. If the
installation position of the agitation tank is higher than the ground, the concrete mark shall be
increased accordingly. The bottom area and volume of the foundation shall be designed by
relevant professionals according to the maximum load on the foundation and the allowable
bearing capacity on the foundation. It is the responsibility of the user or his nominated contractor
to establish a suitable basis.

After the completion of the construction and maintenance of the equipment foundation, the
strength should meet the design requirements, and after the removal of all formwork, special
acceptance must be carried out. The position, geometric dimension and quality requirements of
the equipment foundation shall conform to the requirements of the national standard "Code for
Construction and Acceptance of Reinforced Concrete Engineering", and shall have the acceptance
data or records. Oil contamination, gravel, soil and water in the reserved holes of equipment
foundation surface and foundation bolt should be cleaned up, and the threads and nuts of
embedded foundation bolt should be well protected.
3.3.4 Open-box inspection
Before installing the equipment, the equipment manufacturer, the owner's representative and
the installation unit shall jointly check and accept the equipment. See 1.3.4 for details.
Equipment that cannot be installed immediately after opening the box should be placed in
the original packing direction as far as possible in order to avoid parts damage caused by incorrect
placement.
The storage time of the equipment is longer, and the insulation condition of the motor should
be checked before installation. If it fails to meet the requirements of insulation standards, drying
treatment should be carried out.
3.3.5 Carry
The transport of the whole agitating equipment is generally carried out by crane and
transport vehicle. The equipment must be kept in balance during hoisting and transportation. For
short distance transportation, hoist, guide chain, jack and roller can be used to slowly and
smoothly drag. When transporting agitation equipment, attention should be paid to the protection
of agitating shaft, impeller and other components to prevent deformation and damage.
3.3.6 Assembly and Installation
The overall installation of agitation equipment can be carried out according to the
construction technology standard of static equipment installation.
The general installation order of bulk agitating equipment is:
Welding molding of the tank → tank position → lifting support beam → lifting spindle
components → lifting motor drive device → installing auxiliary components
When the tank body is installed, it should ensure that the welding seam is continuous and
double-sided, no leakage and the welding seam is smooth and beautiful. The main beam should be

aligned horizontally to ensure that the spindle is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. The
installation of the main shaft is of mounted type. When hoisting, attention should be paid to
protecting the surface of agitating shaft and impeller so as to avoid scratches. When auxiliary
parts affect spindle assembly, the sequence should be adjusted accordingly. For example, for the
agitation tank with central circulation cylinder, the impeller should be removed in advance. The
guide tube and seat of the efficient agitation tank should be in place in advance and the impeller is
directly put into the guide tube when the main shaft component is installed.

4 debugging
4.1 Preparations and inspections before commissioning
Agitation tank should be checked before starting. After meeting the following requirements,
the user engineering department and supervision department confirm that it has debugging
conditions before starting.
4.1.1 fuel charging
For agitation tank with reducer transmission mode, lubricating oil should be filled according
to model size and environmental temperature and the manual. Bearing parts, etc., which need
grease lubrication, are usually filled with grease when the product leaves the factory. If the
equipment is placed for more than 90 days, add grease. Refer to lubrication instructions for model
number.
4.1.2 connection
Connection should be handled by a professional electrician. The motor should be properly
grounded, using the motor foot or flange fastening bolts when necessary. The host should be
equipped with overload protection. For models with external oil pump, the oil pump motor can be
directly connected to the main engine. Oil pump motor must be connected separately in
explosion-proof places.
4.2 test run
4.2.1 Water injection
Approximately 70% of the equipment's effective volume of water shall be injected into the
equipment prior to the test run. Do not run the test run without water in the equipment to avoid
bending of the agitating shaft. First inching to determine the direction of stirring shaft, and then

drive. Load test should be at least 4 hours and pay attention to the change of load of each
component .After not exceeding its permitted range, it is put into production.
4.2.2 Inspection and acceptance
After running, current, noise, temperature rise and other items should be checked. The motor
current shall not exceed the rated current and the three phases are basically balanced. The main
inspection of temperature rise motor, reducer, frame bearing seat, machine seal and other parts.
The temperature rise of reducer shall not exceed 45℃ and the maximum temperature shall not
exceed 85℃.
Personnel must be on duty at all times during the running of the equipment. If there is any
abnormal situation (such as sudden increase of noise, equipment shaking, etc.), stop immediately
and check. Troubleshooting before continuing operation.
After the agitating equipment is running normally, fill in the operation record of the agitation
equipment and submit all kinds of installation data for acceptance.
The agitation equipment should be checked again before the system is put into production. In
particular, the agitating part should carefully check whether the joints are loose or have abnormal
friction.
5.1.3 Check the wear condition of the lower impeller and shaft. Handle the exception immediately
if it is found.
5.1.4 Checking that the liquid level in the agitation tank is within the normal range.

5.1.5 Whether the rotary belt is good. If the belt is found to be damaged, it should be replaced in
time. Especially when the triangle belt or the belt wheel has the greasy spot, the application clean
cloth wipe clean.
5.1.6 Check whether the protective device is in good condition. Clear up immediately if unsafe
phenomena are found.
5.2 Normal Start and Stop of agitated tank
This section shows the normal starting and stopping sequence of the agitation tank, and describes
the long-term stopping steps.
5.2.1. Starting sequence: first inching to determine the running direction of agitation shaft, and

5.3 Daily precautions

5.3.3 Lithium grease lubrication for bearing parts is added once a day.
5.3.4 Electrical installation and maintenance should be carried out by professional maintenance
staff.
5.3.5 It is strictly forbidden to touch and operate electrical equipment with wet hands.
It is better to stop in the normal order of shutdown. In case of failure, feeding must be
stopped immediately. After the power supply of motor and other units is cut off, the accident
should be dealt with. And hang warning signs, without the permission of designated personnel, no

one can start agitated tank without authorization.
5.4.2 Emergency shutdown
Emergency and long-term downtime affect downtime procedures The agitation tank

must consider the duration of the shutdown, the performance of the product and other related

Emergency shutdown should be handled in the same way as normal shutdown. If emergency

6.3 Maintenance Rules
6.3.1 Maintenance operators should be familiar with the type, name, performance, structure,
principle and components of the name and material function, and strengthen maintenance.
6.3.2 Operations and maintenance personnel should follow the principle of "fixed point, fixed
time, quantitative and qualitative". The lubrication points of each part marked by the lubrication
table shall be used for lubrication and no oil leakage shall occur. Lubricating grease is injected
once a day. Reducer oil is changed once a month for the first time and then every three months.
6.3.3 During the operation of the equipment, the temperature of the bearing should be checked
frequently. The temperature generally does not exceed 60 C. At the same time, the bolts of each

part should be checked for loosening, the motor should be overloaded and the sound should be
abnormal.
6.3.4 In the operation of the equipment, except for the operation part which must be parked and
cleaned, the other parts should be cleaned in time, and no sundries, oil pollution accumulation,
equipment and environmental hygiene should be maintained.
6.4.3.1 Vertical shaft part: Vertical shaft installation is not less than 0 10', sealing device
qualified, no oil leakage phenomenon.
6.4.3.2 Transmission device part: transmission device should be safe and reliable, stable
operation, no abnormal sound.
6.4.3.3 Tank: Should be soldered firmly, must not have obvious deformation, must not have
