How to Clean Up Storage Using the OPPO

Clean Manager?
Have you noticed that your OPPO phone is running low on storage space? And you know
you have not downloaded any new applications recently? This might be because of temporary
folders or files, cookies, and cache files that were generated when you open your
applications, browse the internet, or download anything from a website. To have these
application cache files, and other junk files cleared, please read on and check how to quickly
clean up the storage on your device to have more space.

Applicable to: ColorOS 3.1 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About
Phone].

Note: Clean Up Storage may not be available in all OPPO phone models in Europe, India,
and Japan due to local policy. 

Use Clean Up Storage to quickly detect and remove hidden temp (temporary folders or
files), cookie, and cache files generated every time you open or download something from
any websites or apps. Here's how!

For ColorOS 7.0 and above, go to [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage] > [Clean].


For ColorOS 6.0 & 6.1, go to [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage]> [Clear all] .
For ColorOS 5.0 to ColorOS 5.2, go to [Phone Manager] > [Clean Storage] > [Clear All].
For ColorOS 3.2, go to  [Phone Manager] > [Clean up & Accelerate] > [Clean].
For ColorOS 3.0 & 3.1, go to [Files] > [Clean] > [Clean].
For ColorOS 2.1 and earlier, go to [Files] > [Category] > [Cleanup]. Wait until the scanning is complete and
tap [Start cleaning].

* Depending on the ColorOS version, some will show [Clean] / [Clear All] / [Clean Up] on
the setting path but is the same function.

 
 

Delete app data. Tap All app cache data, select the apps that have caches, then tap  Delete.
The action cannot be undone.

 
Free up more storage space. You can delete unnecessary files on the phone, including
photos, audio, videos, and documents. Say let's clean up some space for Video. Just manage
and choose the files you want to delete. The action cannot be undone/restored.

Here are the ways you can check your storage space:
1. Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Storage] to view the storage space
remaining on your phone.
2. You can also tap the [File Manager] on the Home screen, then tap [All Files] to
view the remaining space on your phone.
      

Optimize your storage space


You'll see a detailed page of the storage space used by each application saved or
installed on your phone, to free up more space on your Phone Storage, tap [Clean
Storage] > [Clear All].  
When wanting to free up some  Phone storage space using the File Manager, tap [File
Manager] > [Clean Storage] > *[Clear All] / [Clean Up] / [End All].

CLEAR APP CACHE OR DELETE DATA


For apps that you use regularly and don't want to uninstall, you can empty the cache . The cache keeps the
data collected by the application each time it is used: it is its short-term memory. Emptying this cache
regularly frees up space on your Oppo, however, also avoids bugs and slowdowns in your application

the cache does not delete the main application files, deleting the data does involve loss of all settings and
data such as the password and username, or even downloaded elements (game backup, downloaded music,

This has been divided into the following categories:
 My Album
 Smart Album
 Media Type
My Album

My Album divides and categorizes your pictures and store them accordingly if it's for
Camera, Screenshots, Videos, pictures taken in the last 30 days, Movies, and Pictures. 
Smart Album

Sort images according to People (thru facial recognition) and Location.

Media Type

Sort images like the Videos you have taken, Recently deleted images, Continuous
Shooting, and others.

Rearranging Photos

To sort alphabetically, go to Sort by > Filename A-Z or Filename Z-A. To sort


photos in a custom order, drag and drop the photos into the order you'd like. If the
photo has a blue frame, that means it's selected.

To perform other actions, click the three-dot icon in the upper right and
select Edit Album. You can now rearrange photos by dragging and dropping them
to new positions, remove a photo by clicking its X mark, and change the name of the

1. Open your admin dashboard and navigate to Gallery Global/Single settings
page.
2. Scroll down to find "Sort Images by" option and select "Manually (default)".
3. Open the necessary Gallery in the edit mode, drag-and-drop images
to change their order.

memory card or in phone memory depending on the settings
of the phone. The location of photos is always the same - it's the DCIM/Camera
folder. The full path looks like this: /storage/emmc/DCIM - if the images are
