Overview of the Assessment Activity:
Contemporary Dance Presentation
The learners will create a contemporary dance with the theme, “Your role in the society and the
truth behind the COVID-19 pandemic.” They will incorporate the use of background, props,
music, costumes, as well as dance to engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity.
The learners will assume that the performance is a part of the scene in a musical play.

Assessment Activity
Integrative performance task.
The learners will create a contemporary dance with the theme, “Your role in the society and the
truth behind the COVID-19 pandemic.” They will incorporate the use of digital background,
props, music, as well as dance.
The learners will assume that the performance is part of the scene in a musical play.

Instructions:
As part of their lessons in Music, Arts, Physical Education, Araling Panlipunan and Filipino, students will assume
that they have their respective parts in a musical play titled, “My Role in the Society in this
pandemic. “
Learners will create a 2- to 3-minute contemporary dance; it’s either by individual, duo or group.
The theme of the dance is “Your role in the society and the truth behind the COVID-19
pandemic.”
Be sure to incorporate the use of digital background, props, music, etc.
Record your dance and submit it through the Google classroom or Messenger.

Theatre is one major art that brings together all the other art forms - from
painting and sculpture, to music, dance, literature and even to computer arts in a single
production. A story is acted out on stage by actors portraying the characters, bringing
them to life and developing the plot through dialogues and actions and sometimes
through songs and or/or dances.
The opera is an art and musical form in which singers and musicians perform a
dramatic work and a musical score, usually in an elaborate theatrical setting. It
incorporates many elements of spoken theatre, such as acting, scenery, costume, and
sometimes dance.
Musical play is a popular and generally lighter form of musical drama than the
opera. The themes are usually more contemporary, and the musical melodies are more
manageable by the average singer.
