Methods

This chapter covers the research process, population, sample size and sampling
technique , respondent identification, research instrument, data collection procedure,
and statistical analysis of data.

Design

The researchers used a descriptive research design.In research

from McCombes (2020), a descriptive research’s goal is to explain a wide population,
event or situation, or phenomenon in a systematic and precise manner. It will answer
the questions of what, where, when, and how, but not why. A descriptive research
design can explore one or more variables using a variety of research methods.

Population and the Sample

POPULATION AND THE SAMPLE

The respondents were taken from Grade 12 HUMSS Students of DPRO senior
highschool of Paranaque City.There are 244 populations of the students and the
number of samples was computed through the use of Slovin’sthe formula with the 5%
as margin of error resulted to 152.

Slovin’s Formula:

N
1 + Ne2 n= --------------------------

Where:

n=sample

N=population

e= Margin of error

n=244 / 1+244(0.05 ¿ ¿2
Where:

n=sample

N=population

e= Margin of error
n= 244 ÷ 1 + 244 (0.05)²

n = 244/ 1+ 244 (0.05)2

n = 244/ 1+ 244 (0.025)
n= 244/ 1+ 0.61
n=244/ 1.61
n= 152
n=152
N= 244
e = 0.05

Data Gathering Procedure

The following are the step by step procedure on how the researchers gathered the
data:

Step 1: the researchers formulated a survey questionnaire.

Step 2: Pre-survey. The researchers gathered the data of how many students from
Grade 12 DPRO-HUMSS chose GALVO package by gathering the information from
each section.

Step 3: Testing of the Reliability and Validity of the research is by consulting the
research adviser about the survey and how the survey is conducted.

Step 4: the actual survey is conducted through online questionnaire using Google
form.

Step 5: analyzing the data

Step 6: interpreting the result, after the researcher get the response of the student they
interpreting the result.

Step 7: the presentation of data, the researcher presenting the data they gathered.
