SOLUTION CONSIDERED
We chose the Solution 2 about the Population Control
or Family Planning Programs because this will help our country
reduce this current problem. This Solution will slow the population growth
that will help our economy to balance our resources or decrease the density
of the population. Smaller Population will give us more
opportunities to pursue education, and jobs.
POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF SELECTED SOLUTION
We believe that implementing this solution to remedy the problem that is poverty can
create change whether it may be good or bad. The solution we have that comes with the
possible side effect of increasing abortion rates as a consequence. In line with this, family
planning and abortion are subjects that the Church opposes and might create a dispute
between religion and the government. On a positive note, it will reduce the population of
the country which will create less congested areas in slums and industrial areas. This can
be as well a catalyst to change the overwhelming amount of unemployed workers due to
the mass of the population that the economy cannot entertain.

RECOMMENDED SOLUTION (WITH MODIFICATION)

Given to have a privileged position, the Catholic Church must then also respect the
government policies in family planning and must not hamper these efforts to population
control and family planning programs to reduce population growth. This will appear to
be effective in persuading most of the Filipinos not only to stick to what the church has
been teaching on contraception and sterilization, and in turn, it will be a step to decrease
the Philippines population growth and balance our resources. A smaller population will
give us more opportunities to pursue education and jobs.
