the fluid in the clutch system.
5 Take a drainage receptacle, disconnect the
hose for the clutch fluid and collect the fluid in the receptacle. 1 Air connection for the footbrake valve 6 Plug the open hydraulic connections. 2 Air connection to the cab 3 Bracket for the clutch reservoir 7 Remove the bracket from the clutch fluid reservoir and place the reservoir to one side. 4 Protective cover for the electrical connections 8 Disconnect the control hose leading to the 5 Clutch fluid hose slave cylinder. 6 Control hose to the slave cylinder 9 Place protective plugs in the hose and pipe connections of the cylinder. 10 Remove the protective cover on the electrical connections and dismantle the connectors under the cover.
13 Remove the cover under the instrument panel on the driver’s side. 14 Remove the securing screws on the manifold fitting. 15 Follow the lead from the clutch servomaster to the connector under the instrument panel. Disconnect the connector. 16 Remove the air hose above the clutch servomaster. 17 Follow the lead from the footbrake and remove the connector under the instrument panel. 1 Manifold fitting 18 Remove the connectors from the pedal 2 Connector, clutch servomaster panel. 3 Air hose, clutch servomaster 4 Lead from the footbrake 5 Connectors on the pedal panel
instrument panel as follows: - remove the nuts secured to the studs on the upper side of the bracket. - remove the screws that are secured from below to the nuts welded on to the bracket. Note: Some models have studs in all the securing points. 20 Lift out the pedal panel.
assembly The pedal assembly is refitted by carrying out the preceding points in reverse order. Important! Do the following before refitting the protective covers: • Fill the clutch system with fluid. • Bleed the clutch using special tool 587949. • Make sure that the clutch is working and that the hoses and connections are not leaking. • Check that the air connections are working properly and not leaking. • Check the brake pedal play and adjust if necessary.
