1. FastDel is in the business of quick delivery and logistics solutions for enterprises. They
provide point to point pick up and drop of industrial goods across 50+ industrial areas and
cities in India and has over 250 employees of whom 50 are administration and others are
primarily courier teams. They own a fleet of over 50 two wheelers and 125 small tempos.
The CEO , Mr. H M Patel, inherited an old “Angadia” company set up at Surat, by his
father. These old “carriers” had built trust, especially for precious cargo, over decades and
Mr. HM Patel expanded the geographic coverage and client base. He had modernized the
fleet and brought about a more client centric approach.
They service clients of all sizes and carry goods of 3 types (a) raw material & semi-finished
metal and plastic goods, (b) finished products and (c) documents. Charges are per packet
and per kg basis and significant discounts are given to long term loyal clients.
While Quality and speed of service is important to the SME clients, cost is the primary
criteria for many SME clients. Some new industries also have international shipping but
given the challenges and regulations, FastDel CEO is not in this space. Many of the clients
are sourcing from China and there is a threat of loss of business. There have been issues
