NARRATIVE REPORT ON DCES SCIENCE ROOM

In cognizance with the Deped Order No. 48, s. 2006, Observance of Safety
Measures in Science Laboratories, and the call to improve science instruction, the
Dau Elementary School has put up the DCES Science Room last October 2019.

The main objective in putting up the science room is to implement the PWA
or Practical Work Approach in the teaching of science concepts which could result
to quality learning among our clientele. Pupils learn more by doing.

The planning stage started last January 2019 during the monthly meeting of
the school science leader with the science leaders per grade level. It was agreed
upon that all science teachers will give their best effort in the realization of the
project.

The pupil’s contribution is to create low-cost science projects using recycled

and indigenous materials and will be donated to the science room for future use.
An alumna of the school wholeheartedly donated cash for the mural painting of the
room. The target date of finish is December but we were able to finish the room a
month before the target date.
