Brief Description of PAP: PROJECT SipAg E-RAYS2 means Sipnayan at Agham:
EXCELLENCE through REMEDIATION ACTIVITIES
YEARNING for STUDENTS’ SUCCESS, A Math and
Science Intervention Strategy to Defeat Impediments
in the Continuity of Learning Brought by Pandemic
Situation.
This is a LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE
TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS that utilized the
community teaching hub/ home tutorial and
through HOME VISITATION AND MONITORING, in
line with the school’s LCP Project Tutok-Aral.
Teachers who proposed and implemented the project
was motivated by the learners, parents and
guardians requesting a limited face-to-face teaching
for their son/ daughter in Math and Science because
of the difficulties they encountered in making the
learners understand the subject by just relying on
the modules.
Mrs. Ma. Gloria D. Flancia and Mrs. Emily
P. Frago presented the letter of the parents
requesting the limited face-to-face teaching to the
principal Mrs. Catalina P. De Tobio for the approval
of the said project. Afterwards, the teacher seeked
the approval of the 4 Barangays (San Isidro, Yawe,
Walay and San Vicente) IATF. The request was
approved by the local IATF.

The limited face-to-face teaching was


conducted at the community’s learning hub/
learner’s learning area, as scheduled utilizing the
Alternative Working Arrangement schedule of the
teachers. Grade 10 students will be scheduled by
barangay wherein there 18 students from Brgy.
Walay, 16 students from Brgy. San Isidro, 13
students from Brgy. Yawe and 4 students from Brgy.
San Vicente. They were given a designated schedule
wherein health and safety protocols were strictly
followed.
A Math-Sci On-Line Fest with the theme “ Math-
Sci in the New Normal: Connecting, Learning and
Enjoying” was held during the second quarter. This
activity highlighted students’ talents in the different
Math and Science activities and showcased not only
their academic talents but their non-academic skills
as well. Social media accounts were utilized in the
submission, presentation and evaluation of the
learners output ensuring that health and safety of
each learner will not be compromised.

Mechanism:
Goals/ Project SipAg-E-RAYS2 is a remediation strategy aimed to ensure that
Objectives: students continuity of learning in Mathematics and Science will be
attained amidst the pandemic situation. It has the following specific
objectives:
1. To conduct a twice a week limited face-to-face class in learning
Mathematics and Science to 354 students.
2. To utilize the community learning hub of the 4 catchment
barangays in conducting the teaching-learning activities.

3. To promote self-discipline among 354 students in following the


safety and healthy protocols during the pandemic situation.
4. To conduct a home visitation and interview as intervention and
monitoring strategy.
5. To increase MPS of the students in Math and Science for at least
5%.
6. To conduct an action research determining the effectiveness of the
project.
Beneficiaries: The project benefited the ff.
1. 354 learners and parents
2. School’s teaching and non-teaching personnel
3. Teachers who read the action research and adapted the project as
their intervention tool.
Implementati Teachers who proposed and implemented the project
on Strategies: was motivated by the learners, parents and guardians

HOME VISITATION AND INTERVIEW to learners was


conducted once every grading to learners to monitor the
impact of the project as well as to bring intervention
materials and services such as tutorial lessons to those
who needed it.

A Math-Sci On-Line Fest with the theme “ Math-Sci


in the New Normal: Connecting, Learning and
Enjoying” was held during the second quarter. This
activity highlighted students’ talents in the different Math
and Science activities and showcased not only their

Social media accounts were utilized in the submission,
presentation and evaluation of the learners output
ensuring that health and safety of each learner will not be
compromised.

Monitoring & Monitoring and evaluation of the project was done by the
Evaluation: implementers through HOME VISITATION and INTERVIEW together
with the RESULT OF THE LEARNERS SUBMITTED ANSWERS IN
THEIR MODULES EVERY WEEK. OUTPUTS SUBMITTED THROUGH
SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS SHOW THE IMPROVEMENTS IN THEIR
LEARNING. Also, it was monitored by the school head through CLASS
OBSERVATION activities in the classes held twice a week at the
barangay learning hub where the limited face-to-face sessions was
conducted.
Output/s: 1. Conducted limited face-to-face class, twice a week, in the 4
catchment Barangays attended by learners residing in each
specific Barangay during the First and Second Quarter.
2. Constant communication with the Barangay IATF and Education
Committee and stakeholders.
3. An action research entitled “IMPROVING THE LEVEL OF
PERFORMANCE IN DETERMINING SOLUTIONS OF LINEAR
EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES OF THE SELECTED GRADE 8-
STUDENTS OF SAN ISIDRO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, PADRE
BURGOS, QUEZON SY 2020-2021 USING THE SBK-Sip
PROJECT” was conducted.
Outcome/s: 1. Through the conducted activities, students who found difficulties
in answering their modules in Math and Science without teacher’s
discussion on the topic, enabled to understand the lesson which
was evident in their output submitted every week.
2. Increase of 12% in MPS in Math and 14% in Science in the 2nd
quarter using the first quarter as the base.
3. An appropriate intervention tool to ensure learners’ learning
despite of challenged situation as proven by the action research
conducted.
4. Resiliency among learners, parents, teachers and students in every
situation that will affect learners

Lesson/s The project implemented taught everyone of us the lessons that in


Learned: every challenge, there’s always something that we can do to beat it. No
matter how hard the situation is, like what we encountered during
those pandemic times, everything is possible if we have the courage,
the determination, the spirit of teamwork and collaboration with our
colleague and stakeholders.
Recommenda Strategic LCP is implemented as a way to conquer the impediments
