Sources for Power Generation

Microhydro Power Generator utilizes the flow of

water from a small continuous stream from
higher to lower location to generate rotational
mechanical energy on its water wheel which then
be converted to electricity by its generating
components.
Objectives of the Study
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
To provide a reliable, clean, and alternative supply of electricity for rural
areas near perennial streams or riverside locations.

To design an integrated power system consist of a Micro-hydro power

generator and a solar water pump system

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
New design of prime mover for the micro-hydropower generator's turbine
and inlet gates to increase its speed and power efficiency.

To integrate Solar Water Pumping system with Microhydro power

generator for aiding the flow rate and volume of water entering the intake
pipes

Additional power control and energy storage devices for accommodation of

DC and AC loads
