2 PURPOSE
As we strive for excellence in all we do, recognizing the possible negative impact that our
activities may have on people and the environment, the management team and our employees
are committed to implement and maintain, in accordance to the Occupational Health and
Safety Act (OHSA) of 1994, a system that will protect the health and safety of our employees,
contractors, the public and visitors as far as it is reasonably practicable.
The Purpose of this Policy therefore is to clearly set the guidelines for effective Health and
Safety culture that ensures that all activities of the organisation have sound Health and Safety
practices integrated with the day to day operations.
3 SCOPE
This policy has as its scope all aspects of Health and Safety of the company’s management,
employees, contractors, suppliers, clients, visitors and the public at all premises as well as at
any sites where the company’s operations and other activities may affect the health, safety and
wellbeing of these individuals.
4 OBJECTIVE
The objective of this policy is to provide a Health and Safety Management Standard which will
eliminate, mitigate or control the hazards and risks within the Company. This policy is intended
to ensure that management, employees, contractors, visitors and the public are always in full

compliance to all South African Health and Safety legislations and all the applicable
International and local Health, Safety and Environmental standards and good practices.
5 RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the sole responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer of the Organisation (Sec 16.1 of the
OHS Act) to ensure that this Occupational Health Safety Policy, adequately sets the standards
and guidelines for a sound and effective Health and Safety System and that the requirements of
this policy is implemented and adhered to.
The Managing Director may appoint a responsible individual (Section 16(2) of the OSH Act) to
assist the Managing Director in ensuring that adequate Health and procedures are defined,
documented, and implemented for all employees, contractors and visitors during daily tasks,
the delivery and installation of equipment, onsite maintenance and support services for the
clients.
6 POLICY STATEMENT
Management is committed to ensure that its employees, contractors, clients and the public are
exposed, as far as is reasonably practicable to a healthy and safe work environment with
minimum risk; preventing occupational illness and injury; and that product/service delivery is
fully compliant to all applicable Health and Safety legislation and relevant standards.
The organisation confirms its commitment to providing a safe work environment by striving for
the following list of goals which will be maintained at a high standard on an ongoing basis and
to undertake all activities in such a manner that they will not undermine or cause conflict with
any Health and Safety principles and objectives, including:
The provision and maintenance of plant, equipment and systems of work that are
safe and without risk (as far as reasonably practicable) to any person.
Safe arrangements for the handling, storage and transportation of articles and
substances.
Sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable all employees
to avoid hazards and contribute positively to their Health and Safety at work.
Adequate communication of information, instruction and supervision will also be
provided to avoid injury to any other persons likely to be affected.
Safe access to and egress from places of work.
The provision and maintenance of a working environment that is, so far as is
reasonably practicable, adequate with regards to facilities and arrangements for
employee’s welfare at work.
Implement and maintain a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)
throughout the organization which will ensure that a high level of legal compliance and
that best practices are followed to enhance this management system.
Further, audit the HSMS against an established audit protocol
Implement a risk identification program which will ensure all work carried out must
be assessed and continually monitored.

The organization also recognizes and promotes that it is everyone’s responsibility to protect
their own health and safety; to minimise workplace illness and injury by complying with
applicable Acts and Regulations and by following policies, procedures, rules and, instructions as
prescribed by management and the HSMS.
Therefore we encourage worker’s to perform their assigned duties safely, make use of the
correct personnel protective equipment (PPE) or control measures and by reporting incidents
and near misses, or, where able to do so safely, correcting unsafe acts or conditions; to play an
active role in identifying hazards and to offer suggestions or ideas to improve the health and
safety program.
7 COMMUNICATION
This policy, and related information, will be communicated to all employees and the wider
public using the full range of communication methods available to the company and its network
of contacts.
8 REVIEW PERIOD
This policy will be revised annually or if there is any change of legislation that impacts this policy
with regards to the delivery of services, installation, equipment, onsite maintenance and
support to clients. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw this policy as and when it may be
necessary and in accordance with the provisions and any changes of the Occupational Health &
Safety Act 85 of1993 and its regulations.
9 ENFORCEMENT
This policy will be enforced upon sign off. Staff members and Contractors who do not adhere to
this process, could face disciplinary action which could lead to dismissal.
