2. Course Details:
2a.Course Objective: The overall objective of the course is as follows:

1. To develop an understanding of organizational behavior and its applications in management of


businesses.

2. To describe the relationship between organizational structure and behavior within an organization;
and

3. To apply relevant contemporary theories, concepts and models in order to analyze organizational
environments, cases and issues.

4. To manage groups for high performance through an exposure to theories, concepts, and principles
of OB viz. perception, attitudes, personality, motivation, leadership, etc.

5. To evaluate real business problems and provide relevant solutions.

2b. Learning Outcomes:

The expected aim of this curriculum is that on the completion of this course students will be
able to:

1. Demonstrate the applicability of the concept of organizational behavior to understand the


behavior of people in the organization.
2. Recognize and realize individual and group behavior and its impact on organizational
performance.
3. Apply concepts of organizational behavior related to perception, attitude, motivation,
leadership, personality, etc. to ensure a better job-fit.
4. Determine and analyze how the organizational behavior can integrate in understanding the
motivation (why) behind behavior of people in the organization..
5. Evaluate and implement various motivational and leadership theories to different organizational
situations and demands

2c. Pedagogy/Instruction Methodology:

 Lectures will be delivered in interactive mode.

 Blended learning mode of teaching will be adopted.


 Students will work individually on various business-oriented problems.
 Students will work in a team to identify, understand and analyze business
problems.
 Home assignments will help the students in understanding business problems.
 Different kind of activities like PPT Presentations, quiz will help the students
to enhance their skills.

Continuous evaluation will be conducted as per the guidelines of the University. It is
continuous and spread throughout the course; hence absenteeism from class may be
