1. What type of communication is exemplified here?

The type of communication that is shown here is Verbal Communication, based on my own view since the
person who transmits or communicates a message is communicating his thoughts and ideas by talking in a formal
situation such as this.

2. Do you think Panelo was successful in delivering his intended message to the intended.
audience? Why or why not?

I assume Secretary Salvador Panelo was unsuccessful in transmitting his targeted message to the target
group or individuals, based on my own viewpoint. The justification for the feelings and thoughts that he said, “our
country is now in the precipice of annihilation as he leads us to face this Armageddon of an unseen lethal
invader of a disease that is creeping into our people’s lifeblood, killing them slowly and painfully into their
graves” For those persons who try and read this, there are unfamiliar terms that are not easy to comprehend and
understand. And then, only a few people grasped the way he expresses his messages to the targeted audience or
individuals, and many cannot cope with it so ultimately, it was such an unsuccessful one. Finally, the form in which he
talks about the disaster has to do with a one-way communication in which he assumes that his thoughts and ideas
are facts without allowing anyone the ability to respond to him. Focusing on my own point of view

3. What could be the possible feedback if you were the audience/receiver of the message?

If I were the audience or the recipient of the message, my feedback on what Secretary Salvador Panelo said
is that I understand some of his statements, but overall, I cannot cope with the overall message of the statements he
said. Although if the statements are being rephrased or rewritten, the recipient or audience, like me, will understand
the messages on what Secretary Salvador has meant. Centered from my own point of view, I entirely agree with what
he said about the unseen deadly invader of a disease known simply called COVID-19, that if not taken seriously and
unfortunately, it will bring considerable trouble to the human race, it will result from thousands of deaths to the
precious lives of our fellow citizens. Through this statement, I have been warned about this pandemic myself as a
recipient of the message and I will obey the rules and regulations about how to prevent this deadly Corona Virus.

4. Rewrite the message to make it more comprehensible to diverse groups of audience.

Our Country is now facing a dangerous situation that leads to an extinction of human race as he leads us to
face this disaster of an unknown deadly invader of a disease widely known as COVID 19 that takes the lives of our
beloved people, killing them one by one and placed them deeply into their graves.
