Rizal's Views on Education and the Vincentian

Education

In Rizal's view on education, he expressed to people in the nation how valuable education
is to a person. It aided the attainment of societal freedom for all. Education helps to give more
knowledge, abilities, and mindset that a person needs to understand to broaden the perspectives.
Nevertheless, it is not adequate to guarantee a proper education. Rizal presume that religion and
good education were inextricably linked. When these two were applied in a person, it will result
in having not just a brilliant mind, but also spiritual and valuable moral that is taught by the
church.
Rizal’s views in education are, it is the key to end domination and to attain the country’s
freedom. These poems tell us the importance of education because without education, we cannot
reach our goals in life. Rizal always aim for the independence of the country but in doing this
people needs to have knowledge and wisdom. He chose to fight the country by using his brain
through his knowledge and power of letters. He also said that “Ang Kabataan ang pag asa ng
bayan”, he always promotes the importance of education especially to the younger generation
because he thinks that the younger generation will strive hard and will be the future of the
country. Having sacrifices and hardships are part of achieving success. He also said that there is
a strong connection between Jesus's education and faith. Religion has a close relationship that is
very essential in attaining success
Education must be available for every student who is taking the path of success in order
to strengthen the foundation of their own potential once they foresee the career they want to take
on. This treasure is not only for their own selves, thus also for the greatness of the motherland.
St. Vincent de Paul promoted education that was accessible for everybody, not only for the
purpose of knowledge, but for the appreciation of God's words. Through this way the children
would be taught with the awareness of the significance of our almighty God. Rizal on the other
hand knows how important education is, he puts his hopes on the future generations of Filipino
children who can be educated with the proper education. Although, Rizal knew that with the
given excellence related to academics, it is not enough to be called properly educated. For him,
academic excellence must be aligned with the strengthened faith towards religion. With those
reasons, the similarities of Vincentian education and Rizal’s point of view regarding education
and religion are connected since both St. Vincent de Paul and Rizal are both believing that
education is for everyone, yet in order to be properly educated, you must be spiritually connected
also.
Every human needs to know that education is very important for it is our very own
treasure to make our country proud. Education is also a way for us to extend our deep and warm
gratitude for every blessing that we receive. That is why it is still relevant to schools, universities
or any educational institutions to let the students know that education is very important. It can
help them when they grow up or when they are finding a job. As Rizal stated, education is the
foundation of society and a prerequisite for social progress. It could also save the country from
domination. Because the mission of education is to elevate our country to the highest level and
develop people’s mentality.
The conclusion is that education is presented as a response to join individuals, ingrain
pride in people and give the devices expected to roll out certain improvements in the country.
Education is depicted as a torch lighting the dimness or the morning sun projecting out the
shadows over a land. In a period where many felt abused, Rival offered that the force or light of
education is perpetual, that it can't be removed. Rizal clarifies that all science and workmanship
are brought into the world of education, that schooling is equipped for carrying security and
harmony to lands. His words empower that through information, even uncouth savages can
ascend to chivalry. Edify the country which is helpful to acquire cultural opportunities for each
country to get revenge against Spaniards, who exploited the Filipinos who were casualties of
misuses and savageries, with the goal that one day our country will turn out to be liberated from
injustice and corruption.
