Business Operations Associate Consultant at ZS

and operations, thoughtfully designing solutions focused on operationalizing analytics, implementing
cutting-edge automaton technologies, and transforming client business processes. Our teams support
both project-based and outsourcing solutions for our clients that go beyond streamlining operations and
reducing costs to bring domain focused insights, practical innovations, and superior customer
experience.

Business Operations individuals work on niche areas of the industry like Incentive Compensation, Call
Planning, Meetings and Events, Process Automation using RPAs, Customer Centric Marketing,
Forecasting, Master Data Management, Value and Access, R&D, Marketing Operations etc. to develop
efficient processes and drive effective operations. These individuals are trusted problem solvers and
client connectors.

Business Operations Associate Consultant: During their career at ZS, the individuals will get a chance to
work on a variety of projects which can be largely classified into the following categories. Each
specialization applies some unique skillsets to manage our client Business Operations programs.
Ops Analytics: Designing and executing analytic techniques to address business problems. Synthesize
and communicating results to clients and ZS teams through oral and written presentations. Ability to
think through a solution by assessing business impact to existing and downstream systems. Knowledge
of domain and analytical techniques/tools would be the important skills required for these projects

Data & Technology: Establishing a best-in-class incident, release, and change management process to
enable business insights, and capability adoption. Enabling an effective ad-hoc management process and
ability to think through a solution by assessing impact to existing systems. Data and domain knowledge
would be important for success in these type of projects

Process Transformation: Operations management to achieve operations optimization, process


transformation through process mapping and operations evaluation techniques, automation, advising
internal and external teams on ways to improve operations.

Business Operations Associate Consultants (BOACs) manage key work streams that support our clients'
business processes and operations. They solve structured problems, develops best practices for
operating and optimizing business processes, and plan to accomplish work duties for self and team
members within required timelines

Responsibilities:

• Understand client business problems, operating business rules, data, and standard operating
procedures
• Responsible for smooth operations of client business processes on a periodic basis. This includes
synthesizing data, performing quality checks and delivering error free deliverables.
• Apply quality assurance best practices and ensure team members learn and apply as well.
Implements and automates detailed quality control procedures improving overall quality and
decreasing overall time and effort.
• Provides insights to the project team regarding results and possible areas for further analysis
• Mentor, coach and guide associates in the team, often across multiple offices
• Contribute to or help lead technology, process, or analytical discussions and finalizing the
approach/solution
• Communicate effectively with client over e-mail capturing right level of details. Create high
impact slides and presentations summarizing the results and insights.
• Follows up with team members for status updates and ensure project collateral is up-to-date for
the work of the entire team (e.g. issue tracking and project management tools, project drive,
etc.)
• Collaborate and work closely with internal and client teams across geographies on an ongoing
basis to ensure everyone is aware of periodic status updates, issue resolution and change
control
• Develop deep domain and data expertise and advise client and internal teams
• Receptive to initiatives and flexible to adopt new approaches that lead to business operations
excellence
Qualifications:

ZS welcomes candidates with bachelor's or master's degrees in any engineering discipline, MIS,
operations management or other relevant academic program, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant
work experience. A demonstrated record of academic success is required.

ZS is a global consulting firm; English fluency is required, additional fluency in at least one European or
Asian language is highly desired.
