- For me no, because nowadays young people are just using gadgets to attract the one she
wants to love. This study reveals that the digital realm is one part of a broader universe in
which teens meet, date and break up with romantic partners. Online spaces are used
infrequently for meeting romantic partners, but play a major role in how teens flirt, woo
and communicate with potential and current flames.

Activity 5:

“Ang Kalupi” by Benjamin Pascual

Ang Kalupi is all about an ordinary housewife accused an indeligient boy about the lost of her wallet
on the market while buying some ingridients and food for the celebration of her daughters
graduation. The geographic origin of this story is from National Capital Region where young thieves
are rampant. The linguistic origin of this story is Pilipino. The ethnic dimension of this story comes
from the Tagalogs because it can be read in the story that the language used is purely Tagalog. The
main theme of this story is the unequal scrutiny receive by low people from those that are excelling
in keeping up with the society. People tend to judge the people they meet during their lives on what
they look like on the outside, without realizing that not everything that meets the eye satisfies the
truth.
VI. REFLECTION JOURNAL
What did you learn from this lesson/activity?
-I learned that the diversity and richness of Philippine literature evolved side by side with the
country's history. This can best be appreciated in the context of the country's pre-colonial cultural
traditions and the socio-political histories of its colonial and contemporary.
