The graph compares the number of tourists who travelled to a particular Carribean island from 2010

to 2017.

It is clear that the number of visitors to the Caribbean island significantly increased over the period
shown. Overall, the number of visitors staying on island remained stable since 2013 while the number
of visitor staying on cruise ships rose dramatically.

From 2010 to 2015, the total number of visitors gradually increased from 1 million to around 2.6
million. Then the figure of the total visitors stayed unchanged in the following year (2016) at 2.6
million before it rocketed to 3.5 million in 2017.

The statistics of people staying on islands stayed flat at around 0.75 million from 2010 to 2011.
Subsequently, the figure moderately went up to 1.5 million in 2013 and then stagnated within in the
next 2 years. In 2016, this number slight dropped to 0.75 million before it went back to the same level
as in the previous year. From 2010 to 2015, the number of people staying on cruise ships was always
lower than the number of people staying island. In particular, there was 0.25 million visitors staying
on cruise ships in 2010, which was equivalent to only one third of people staying on island. Although
the figure of people staying on cruise ships showed no stable increase or decrease within the first 3
years, it consistently increased to 1.5 million in 2016, compared to about 1.25 million people staying
on island. Subsequently, it continued to outperform the number of people staying on island at 2
million in 2017.

In short, the graph predicted a stable trend in the number of people staying the island and a upward
trend in the number of people staying on cruise ships along side with the total number of visitors
travelling to this particular island.
