The Meaning Of Independence

A historical event for the Indonesian people that marked by reading the text of
proclamation to be the beginning of Indonesian independence. After reading the text of
proclamation, Indonesia wasn’t fully independent. The people still have to fight against a
foreign nation. All are fighting to drive out foreign nations so that we can own this nation. 
Defend Indonesia so that independence becomes the true meaning.  Much has been sacrificed
to reach the point of freedom.  Loss and sadness become a close part to defend the
motherland.  Passion and unity are the keys to success.  Life is at stake and fear must be
removed.  The failure that was faced many times did not become an obstacle to try to seize
this nation.  Being controlled, enslaved, treated unfairly by other nations for years underlies
the spirit to make this nation independent.

This independence is the result of our own people.  This is our freedom to govern our
own country.  This nation has broken apart, there are groups in this country.  Different
opinions and goals.  Circumstances are out of control, this nation fought between people
before reaching this point.  Indonesia is a homeland of fighters, giving birth to many fighters
who have the spirit of liberation and want to live in dignity.  The price of independence is
expensive, but they are ready to pay it with blood and tears.  Independence has a very
important meaning for the life of a nation.  With the capital of independence, a nation will
have self-respect and be able to sit together side by side with the nations of the world.  Free
from all forms of oppression and control of foreign nations.  Free to determine their own
destiny.  This means that the Indonesian nation is a sover

eign nation, a nation that must have its own responsibilities in the country. 

Independence is a golden bridge or gateway to a just and prosperous society.  So

independence does not mean that the national struggle is over.  However, new challenges will
arise to maintain and fill with various development activities. August 17 is the day we
Indonesians remember the many struggles to achieve independence.  A day to give thanks
because now our nation has stood up in our own hands and managed by ourselves.  The
ceremony was held to commemorate the heroes services and to thank them for what they had
fought for.  The competition is a tradition to celebrate the independence day of Indonesia to
build unity in the community.  Everything has meaning and benefit. A great day that is
always expected and celebrated.  Tradition that is not forgotten and continues to be
remembered.  Many stories are stored into history and lessons.  Flags are installed all the
way, the writing of independence is clearly visible, togetherness activities build love that
strengthens the nation.  Very special day of independence.  All residents enthusiastically
celebrate.  Do not know the age to participate.  Being a moment filled with happiness and
togetherness.  Shows the close unity that is the hallmark of the Indonesian people.
 Independence became very unique with various kinds of activities held to welcome it. 
Crackers eating competitions, sack races, inserting nails into bottles and so on are the
hallmarks of independence.  Attract the driver's attention if there is a race on the road to stop
witnessing the excitement.  All people are waiting for independence day.  Independence
symbolizes togetherness.  On independence day it was seen that Indonesia was a unitary and
unitary state.  The heroes have succeeded in driving out the invaders, but we are not yet fully
independent.  Only the right of freedom that we can.  If we see today, there are still many
areas of Indonesia that are controlled by foreign nations.  It's just a different way to master it. 
If it used to be controlled by force, violence and slavery.  Currently foreign nations control
through trade, investment, and even politics.  Lots of foreign products coming into the
country that make local products replaceable.  This only gives citizens the freedom to create
and work.  But in the domestic competition market itself is still invaded by other nations. 
Many of Indonesia's natural resources are controlled by foreign nations, Indonesia is only a
worker, not an owner or a processor.  Foreign nations have a greater advantage over the
wealth we have.  Many islands have been taken or claimed by other countries, beautiful
islands which if we manage can be a source of funds.

duty.  This nation must triumph in our own hands not only to make the independence that has
been built a celebration.  Establish independence for the prosperity of society now and in the
future.  Independence is our freedom without interference from foreign countries.
