physical items or more abstract systems to address a need or a problem.

• to prepare the preliminary sketch or the plans for (a work to be executed), especially to plan the form and structure of: to

What is design?
• The objective of a design is to create new objects for the mind to feast upon.
• major characteristic features about design;
- PROCESS
- PROBLEM SOLVING
- CREATIVE ACTIVITY

DESIGN AS A PROCESS
• Any process is expected to have a definite beginning that sets it in motion and a definite end where the motion stops.
• A design activity is therefore triggered by some stimuli that starts a process.

DESIGN AS PROBLEM SOLVING

• The trigger that sets things in motion is usually the need to solve a problem.
• This in turn implies that the activity that we call design starts by identifying a problem to be solved and tries to use inpu ts
from the human mind (the designer) to come up with possible solutions

and original at the same time.

Architecture as I told you earlier should also motivates you,
enlighten you. So when we designed a space perhaps on the
exterior it would look funny. Like in the picture, but then when
you enter that space we feel uplifted because of how the light is
play magnificently inside the space. So, Architecture on the
superficial we can classified as something very simple word.
There is something very pure or very awkward but then when we
experience the space it brings out something different. It can
either relax you or it can either energize you or it can motivate
you.
