Following are the screenshots of my LLCs results:
1. Discuss how your strengths contribute to your academic success.  (10 pts)

I think I have many strengths in my academic life. Firstly, I am always eager to learn.

I feel curious when encountering new concepts or new things, and I would love to

make efforts to understand them, and I think this is very helpful in my academic life,

it gives me the motivation to study. Secondly, from the question 4, 5, 6, it can be seen

that I am the type that likes to study alone, and does not like others’ help when facing

a problem, it makes me feel proud if I work the problem out by myself, and that is

also why I do not feel like to question the things I am learning, I am more willing to

work by myself first. Thirdly, from the question 12, it can be seen that I am willing to
try out new learning in different ways, which I think is very helpful, by learning and

mastering different learning methods, I am able to use different methods for different

problems. Finally and most importantly, if I do get upset when I am learning, I am

quite good at making myself feel better, in other words, I am good at adjusting my

mental state, or I am good at recovering from failure. This quality really helped me a

lot during these years, sometimes my grades are bad, and then I become upset or

dispirited, but soon I would adjust my attitude and get back to study.

2. Discuss which of the strands of the C R E A M learning strategies can help you

raise your level of LLCs (15 pts).

From the LLCs result, it can be seen that I still have many weakness. From the result

of question 13, I found out that I am not willing to ‘give it a go’ even when the

outcomes are uncertain, I like to do things that I am sure of or I can anticipate, and for

those things that I can not anticipate the outcomes, I have no motivation to do them

because of fear of failure. I think the M (motivation) in C R E A M learning strategies

can help me improve this. According to the lecture, one way to stay motivated is to set

achievable goals. The goal should be realistic and achievable within the set time limit.

Good grades are also essential to improve the motivation of one's learning, because

they are a reward for educational success. If I change my motivation, and I care about

the achievable goals more instead of the possible results, I may feel more encouraged

to try out new staff.
