FREE WI-FI AVAILABLE IN PCC PARKING

STRUCTURE

Long Beach City College students are welcomed to access free Wi-Fi from a safe distance within a
vehicle in the PCC Parking Structure. The Structure will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Wi-Fi signal is strong in the newly built parking
structure.

GUIDELINES:
1. This opportunity is for Long Beach City College students in vehicles only. A second phase may
include tables and chairs in the parking structure and/or near the cafeteria.
2. Please enter Parking Structure off of Walnut Ave.
3. Please park in every other space west of Bldg. 1700.
4. This is intended for educational purposes, is not a social space.
5. The area will be monitored by the Campus Police and LBCC staff.
6. The Student Code of Conduct applies.

ADDITIONAL WI-FI RESOURCES

Unfortunately, due to the need to create safe social distancing on campus, the LBCC Parking
Structure Wi-Fi is only available to students in a vehicle (at this time). However, there are several
other resources available. The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office has compiled
information on several companies are providing reduced cost and free internet and
laptops (https://www.lbcc.edu/post/laptop-internet-resources) to ensure students have access to
reliable internet service. LBCC Student Services has also updated its website with a list of many

LAPTOP LOAN PROGRAM

Long Beach City College is still accepting requests for the student laptop loan program. Students
may request a laptop by filling out a brief form which they can access at the following

GUIDELINES FOR STUDENT USE

o Students must remain in vehicle
o Social distancing requirements must continue to be observed and masks must be worn on
campus when you are out of your vehicle for any reason
o Only members of the same household in each vehicle
o Use of WIFI for educational purposes only. No streaming movies, gaming, or other personal
entertainment use
o Student code of conduct to be observed at all times
o Amplified music / sound prohibited during use
o Must take all trash out of structure upon leaving
