What is the relevance of ICT in your chosen course?

We all know that our course, Electronics Engineering focuses on the creation, design, and
development of everyday devices which is in line with the purpose of ICT that facilitates interaction
with the digital world.

Moreover, ICT is more comprehensive, that includes components that are related to computers and
digital technologies that the field of electronics engineering focuses.

So yun nga po malaki yung relevance ng ICT sa chosen course namin which is the ECE hindi lang dahil sa
may communication din sa course kundi dahil same sila na nagpprovide ng wider perspective on the
nature of technology.

So let’s proceed to the question number 2

Name at least 4 uses of ICT in our daily lives and explain.

BUSINESS

It makes a business more efficient, effective, and promptly respond to customer’s needs.

So with the use of ICT it can assist businesses in different activities including designs, research and
development, distribution of sales in an efficient, effective way. Nakakatulong din ang ICT for of course
improving decision-making and para din sa pagincrease ng competitiveness ng business mo sa
marketplace.

EDUCATION

It improves engagement and knowledge retention, because ICT makes students more engaged in their
work.

With the use of ICT maeenhance yung effectiveness ng value of teaching and learning. Kapag may ICT sa
isang lesson mas maeengage ng sobra yung mga students sa mga activities nila. This is because lesson
about technology na napprovide ng ICT make it more fun and enjoyable sa mga students same thing sa
teaching.

SHOPPING/COMMERCE

It makes buying and selling activities easier, faster, and more efficient by using computers and
internet.

Through ICT, we can choose different range of items from different countries without reaching that place
and also to buy whatever we want at any time. Just like online shopping apps most commonly Lazada and
Shopee. We can pay for the items on the internet with a safe internet payment option.
And also yung pagaadvertise ng mga products possible din yon through ICT.
HEALTH
It can play a critical role in improving health care for individuals and communities by providing new
and more efficient ways of accessing and communicating.
So yun ICT can assist the improvement of our health. By the use of technology, for an example people
who cannot be able to go with their physician in order to address their concern about their health, through
ICT they can simply email them about their issues and concerns in a more efficient way.

Positive Impacts

 Daily Routine Management

- Using ICT, especially gadgets, we can easily store and manage our daily information.
Make an online payment and online trading for purchasing our personal needed items.
- So yun nagagamit natin yung ICT sa personal routines natin including sa pagmanage ng infos
natin at sa mga online shopping na ginagawa natin.
 Social Relationship
- With the use of internet, computers, and mobile devices, the ICT helps to provide the
facility to maintain the close contact with our loved ones around the world with our daily
routine.
- So yon we can still be able to communicate and be in touch with our loved ones even with
the large range of distance with each other.
 Usage of Free time
- ICT can also be used as an entertainment. We can play games, watch videos, listen to
songs or to the news and many more.
- So yon for entertainment use din ang ICT, we can use it in our free time to get rid of
boredness syempre.

Negative Impacts

 Reduced face-to-face interactions

- We all know that nowadays, people tend to use most of their time on the internet, and
they are most likely to communicate online rather than a real conversation.
- Negative sya pero at the same time in times of pandemic very useful sya. Pero yun nga di
natin masyado naeexpress our real feelings.
 Reduce physical activity/ Health problems
- With the use of ICT gadgets people nowadays tend to have a sitting lifestyle that can lead
to some health problems such as headache, fatness and even repetitive strain injury
- So yon dahil minsan sa overuse ng ICT we tend to forget our health na minsan nagccause ng
development of diseases na dapat ay iniiwasan natin.
 Costly
- We cannot deny that some ICT gadgets are expensive. And in order to achieve an effective
and efficient lifestyle we are forcedly to buy one in order to join the trend, and some
students who cannot afford one do not get the benefits of e-learning due to their
educational establishments.
- Di naman talaga maiiwasan na makiuso para syempre makaadopt tayo sa current
environment pero dahil don masasacrifice mo yung cost or yung budget mo and yon sa mga
bata kadalasan di nila afford and with the result of that hindi sila makakaadopt sa
environment they will also not benefit sa e-learning in times like this, which is the pandemic.
