INDIAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW REVIEW STYLESHEET

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

1) Language
a. British English
b. Definitions are defined in the following way: The Indian Constitutional Law
Review (“ICLRQ”)

2) Layout and Spacing


a. A4 page size with Normal Margin (i.e. 2.54 cm from all sides)
b. Abstract indented 1 cm from both, the left and right sides and italicized
c. The first line of every first paragraph of a new section starts with a right indentation
(tip: press the tab button once)
d. Line spacing of 1.5 in body text and 1 in the footnotes
e. Do not add space before or after paragraph, instead leave a blank line manually

3) Font
a. Times New Roman
b. Point size 14 for the main title of the manuscript, 12 for body text, 10 for footnotes.
c. Alignment of text is in Justified, except for Main Title and Headings which are
Centered.

4) Other Guidelines
a. Make sure you do a thorough citation check. That involves checking if the hyperlink
is functional, the pages have been correctly cited.
b. Check for grammatical and spelling errors.
c. Ensure that the citations are in accordance with Bluebook (20th edition) and make
the necessary changes.
d. Refer to the next page as an illustration of the guidelines provided above.
5) Headings: Please follow the following pattern:

MAIN TITLE Main Heading is in Small Caps and with


point size 14. Center alignment.
Abstract Italicized and in Bold. Point size 12. Center
alignment.
Heading Times New Roman, Center alignment, Bold,
Point size 13.
1. Sub-Heading Level 1 Times New Roman, Bold, Point size 12.
a. Sub-heading Level 2 Times New Roman, Italicized, Bold, Point
size 12.

6) Quotations: All quoted text must be in inverted commas and italicized. Any quotes
exceeding 30 words must be placed in a separate paragraph and indented as follows:
