Active voice means thata sentence has a subject
thatactsupon its verb. Passive voice means
thata subject is a recipient of a verb’s
action. You mayhave learned thatthe passive voice
is weak and incorrect, but it isn’t thatsimple.
When used correctly and in moderation, the
passive voice is fine.
In English grammar, verbs have five properties:
voice, mood, tense, person, and number; here,
we are concerned with voice. The two
grammatical voices are active and passive.

Present simple :
Active :
S + V.present + Object +
C

( We use oil for heating.)

Passive:
Object + is, are, am + P.P + C

Positive:
Oil is used for heating.
Negative:
Oil isn’t used for heating.
Question: Is
oil used for heating?
