THE PATH WE’VE TAKEN:KALINGA PHARMACEUTICALS’ HISTORY

The Kalinga Pharmaceuticals was first established in the heart of the Philippine Islands, Marinduque,
on the year 2011 by Maria Mediatrix Medina. Upholding its tagline “Kasangga sa Pag-aalaga,” the
manufacturing company grew with its purpose of improving the delivery of care and contributing to the
overall betterment of the Philippine healthcare system by extending a helping hand through the provision
of quality pharmaceuticals. As a primarily Filipino-centered drug manufacturing company, Kalinga
Pharmaceutical prides itself in relying to the excellence of Filipino pharmacists, scientists and
researchers. Diversifying the industry and showcasing the Filipino people’s brilliance in science and
technology.
With the growing concern in mental health related issues in the past years and the heavy financial
burden it imposes on the Filipino people; Kalinga Pharmaceuticals institutes its first product division,
Usad, focusing on mental health care. It aimed to develop quality, safe, and most of all affordable
pharmaceuticals for those affected by mental health illnesses. This bold step’s success propelled the
then humble manufacturing company to the international stage. And by the year 2020, Kalinga
Pharmaceuticals has fully expanded in Southeast Asia. Celebrating a decade of service, Kalinga
Pharmaceuticals continues to forge its way through the pharmaceutical industry with compassion,
innovation, and care.
